I was disappointed with the ending to Fruits Basket, I was hoping it would be more dramatic and I didn't like the way Torhu could get Akito to forgive her so easily, so I decided to make my own ending! Just a warning it's completely Yukiru apart from a little bit of Kyou and Kagura fluff here and there... well, as fluffy as they can get any way! XD! Okay so this starts just after Tohru runs away from Shagure after he caught Akito taunting Torhu... enjoy!

I lay face down on the ground, the heavy rain pounding against my back. I was so cold, and yet I couldn't feel it over the image that was plaguing my mind. Him. Only not the Kyou I had come to know, the disgusting, hideous monster... He was my friend, one of my very best friends, and yet I couldn't picture him in any other way, I was ashamed at myself, let me just die here, I'm no use to anyone, I can't even comfort my friend. I hate myself. Mom, what should I do? The sound of the rain was muffled by the sound of my sobs, getting louder at regular intervals.
"Miss Honda?" I recognised the voice. Yuki. I didn't want him to see me like this.
"Yuki no, please, don't look at me I'm ashamed, I couldn't bear it if you thought badly of me."
"Miss Honda, Torhu, I could never think badly of you." He reached out and touched my shoulder.
"No! Please don't touch me Yuki, I-I-" I couldn't finish my sentence through my sobs.
"I wish- I wish I could reach out and comfort you. I wish I could hug you and tell you it was all going to be alright- Hell I wish I didn't have this damn curse more than anything now I've met you Torhu!" I turned to him, he looked sad and distant and even if I couldn't reach Kyou, Yuki I could, for I was going through the same. I reached out and took his hand.
" This will do, for now." He smiled and I felt some hope in me. He reached inside his coat and produced Kyou's bracelet.
"We better go find him, if we return without him, Kagura may just kill us plus, I may hate him, but he's- kind of like a brother. But I'll kill you if you tell him that!"
"Okay, we'll find him, for Kagura and for Shagure, we'll find him." I got up from the ground with Yuki's help, he pulled me deeper into the forest, my hand still firmly in his, both frightened about what we may find when we finally come across Kyou.
