Love Somebody
Jacob x OC
(Set During Eclipse)
Jacob Black has been through his share of heartaches...especially when the girl he was in love with for years, turned him down for a vampire. Becoming a shapeshifter was one thing...but discovering that his soul intertwined with another shapeshifter of another tribe, that was eerily and surprising.
Grace Long was raised in a world of shapeshifters from her tribe, the Cherokee. In her tribe, their spirit animal is the eagle, and for Grace, it symbolizes the heart of her tribe. Grace had a strong heart, and refused to allow herself to fall in love, as she's been broken before. When a twist of fate leads her to her soul mate, she didn't know what to believe.
As Jacob and Grace tries to figure things out, a war between the packs and the newborns are on the rise. As their packs started to work together, Jacob and Grace have gotten closer. Will their love grow, or will it fade?
This story will be updated on Mondays for the time being, unless a change has been made.
Chapter 1
Jacob
The motorcycle vroomed down the highway outside of Forks, as the wind started to blow on my face. I was speeding across the highway, trying to forget about what happened a while ago when Bella told me that she loved me, but that she also loved that filthy bloodsucker Cullen and wants to be with him.
What the hell?!
I mean, can't anything go right for me?!
I swear, it feels like I'm not having anything good coming for me, right? I've been on the run for months now, and mostly it's been just trying to adjust and move past what happened. I was in wolf form for a good month, and then after a while, I finally decided to come back home. I knew my dad would probably be pissed at me for leaving, and after finding out my sister Rachel came back from college...and to find out that Paul Lahote imprinted on her while I was away...I guarantee that the reunion won't be of pleasantry.
Soon, I was starting to pull into La Push, but I decided to make a quick stop at First Beach. I knew some of the guys might be there, but I didn't care. I just needed to take a minute and breathe. Once I parked my bike, I got off of it and walked on the wet sand. When I got closer to the water, I took in a deep breath, and breathed in the sea air. It was calming, soothing, and helped clear my head a bit...but there was still that lingering thought in my head.
Why?
Why did she had to pick him?
He's not even alive, and she chose him.
I was trying to forget all about it, but then, I heard a calming, sweet voice calling my name. I turned around, looking to see who it was, but it wasn't anyone. I turned back to the ocean, and took in another deep breath, but then...my vision became blurred.
What was going on?
Squinting my eyes, I saw a picture of a woman with dark hair walking toward me in a cream-colored dress. On her shoulder, I saw a tribal tattoo of an eagle on it...but I also noticed something on her wrist, with the marking of a half-moon on the inside of her wrist. When my eye opened, the picture went away, and blinking my eyes again, I kept trying to make sure if it was coming back, but it didn't.
Was I dreaming?
What the hell was happening?!
Shaking my head, I started walking back to my bike and drove on back home. When I got there, as soon as I walked in the door, my dad was rolling in. He sighed with relief, but Rachel, my sister, came out and was extremely pissed. "Where the hell have you been?!"
"I needed to clear my head."
"'Clear your head'?! You had all of us worried about you! Are you out of your mind!"
"Hey, I didn't abandon the family the moment things got to hard!"
"Are you kidding me?! You're gonna throw that in my face?! You left when someone denied you, and you think that's an excuse to throw my leaving in my face!"
"That's enough." Billy said, his voice stern and final. "Let's not worried about what happened before, but rather be grateful that we're together now."
Rachel rolled her eyes and walked out of the room, leaving me and my dad alone. "Son, what were you thinking?"
"I just needed space, that's all Dad."
"There's space here, you didn't have to run all the way to Canada and expect us not to worry about you."
"Look Dad, I don't want to talk about it right now, okay?"
"We are going to have to talk about it at some point, whether you like it or not."
I tried to ignore my dad, but then I started to have those strange visions in my head again. The girl stood in the room behind my father, and I could hear her whispered, "Protect me...save me...love me..."
"Jake?" My dad called out, as I started to feel a little woozy. "Jake, are you alright?"
I cleared my throat, shaking my head, and looked behind him. No one was there, but for some odd reason, I felt her presence somewhere here on the reservation. "I don't know. Something's not right,"
Suddenly, I heard a scream...possibly hers. "Jake, what's wrong?"
I started to follow the scream, as my father tried to follow behind me. Rachel came outside with our dad and asked, "What's going on?"
"I'm not sure," he said, but I wasn't really listening to the rest. I could hear Rachel running after me, but I didn't care. I ran faster, trying my best not to phase in front of my sister, but luckily I didn't have to. As soon as I got closer to the forest, I saw a young woman lying on the ground. Covered in bruises and blood, and I wasn't sure if she was unconscious. I ran toward her, as Rachel let out a scream. "Oh my God! Is she okay?!"
Once I was beside her, I moved her body so I can see her face, and I recognize that it was her...the girl from all of those strange visions I've been having for a while. I pressed my fingers against her carotid, checking for a pulse. She has one, but it was slow. "Rach, call an ambulance, now!"
Rachel pulled out her phone and started calling, as I started to lift the girl up off the ground and carried her out. Within fifteen-to-twenty minutes, an ambulance arrived as I helped them get her onto the stretcher. When I started to pull away, I noticed the marking of the half-moon on the inside of her right wrist.
It was her...
Question was, who was she?...
