"So Annabeth... Do you have a belly button?" Okay, not the best question you should ask your girlfriend with a knife strapped to her belt, but I was curious. You see, Annabeth is a daughter of Athena and that means when she was born she popped out of Athena's mind, not the usual way like mortals are born. Athena also was born from a mind and apparently the concept got passed down to her children. Since, she was born from the mind there couldn't be an umbilical cord and without one there couldn't be a belly button.

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" She looked pissed.

"Well you are a daughter of Athena?" I gave her my obvious look which made her frown deeper and ears to become red. Her ears always get red when she is embarrassed.

"Just because I'm a brain child doesn't mean my body parts aren't any different than everyone else."

"It's still kinda weird."

"You know what Percy, maybe you should think before you speak and not ask retarded questions all the time."

I scoff, anger building up inside of me. "I don't ask retarded questions, you know I hate it when you put me down like that."

Annabeth looks hurt but my glare still holds. She looks away from me and I copy her image. Neither of us talks or really does anything. I think about leaving but I don't want to make her more upset and furious. So we both do nothing. Some campers pass by obviously looking and whispering about us. I send them my death glare. They quickly walk away.

I soon get bored and being unoccupied is never good when you are an ADHD demigod. So I say something to break the silence.

"If you have a belly button, can I see it?" Right that moment I realize that I do ask retarded question.

My face morphs into fear and worry. I know for a fact she is going to kill me for that outburst, but she does something else. She laughs.

"If that will prove I have a belly button then you can see it." She grins.

She lifts up her camp shirt and there it is. She has a belly button... and it's an innie which is waaay better than outie. Okay, my girlfriends not a freak. She has a belly button. Then my eyes drift away from her belly button to her curves and tan, flat stomach. Gulp, Oh Gods.

Before I could start to drool over her body she pulls her shirt down. "So there's your proof. I have a belly button." She says rather proudly like only a few people have this rare gift.

I laugh." Yes, you do. You parents must be so proud".

She lightly punches shoulder and chuckles. Her face gets serious a second later.

"Percy, if I didn't have a belly button would you have gone out with me?" Now how the fuck are you supposed to answer that?!

Annabeth waits for my answer. She looks hopeful but worried.

"Annabeth Chase, if you didn't have a belly button you would be a freak of nature," I say truthfully. Her jaw drops. "But you would be my freak of nature."

She rolls her eyes. "You're such a seaweed brain."
