Author's Note: For Zhurrick Week, day 2: Oblivious

"Varrick…"

She arched an eyebrow, holding the incredibly awkward pose. Her husband barely glanced up from his paperwork. Zhu Li let out a small sigh of frustration, shuffling closer. She hadn't spent all afternoon styling her hair and doing her makeup after shimmying into the tightest dress she had ever tried on only to be ignored. "Iknik," she tried again. Still, he didn't look. She would have to go for drastic measures. "Nuktuk."

That got his attention. She tried to hold her pose, imitating the poster for the latest Nuktuk, Hero of the South mover, and grinned as her husband's jaw dropped.

"Zhu Li?" he breathed, his eyes darting up and down her body as if to take everything in. Zhu Li shook her head, the curls bouncing. Thank goodness she had chosen not to wear the ginger wig. It was already uncomfortable enough, with her hair this tightly styled.

"It's me, Nuktuk. Ginger. You saved me from the evil spirit vines that were plaguing the south, and now I'm here to thank you," she said, trying to make her voice sound like the real Ginger. She had gotten this idea from Asami, who apparently had a lot of fun in the bedroom with Korra.

Varrick didn't seem to understand, though. "What are you talking about, Zhu Li? This didn't happen in the mover," he stammered, fiddling with the papers on his desk, "And I have a lot of work to do…"

"You've been doing far too much work lately, Nuktuk. Let me thank you, and then you can get back to work," she wagged her finger at him, straightening up and walking towards his desk, swaying her hips.

"What are you—"

"Shh," she cut him off, leaning across the desk and putting her finger against his lips. Hopefully he would get the hint soon, before she all but draped herself across his lap – something she was not afraid to do, of course. In this position, the revealing gown she was wearing was giving him a clear view down her cleavage. Yet, he still leaned back, eyeing her apprehensively. She let out a breath and stood up again, walking around the desk and sitting down on his knee, her fingers resting against his chest. "I'm here, you might as well take a break," she whispered in his ear in her most seductive voice. Finally, a light seemed to dawn in his eyes.

"Where'd you get this idea?" he whispered back, running his fingers across her arm. She arched an eyebrow and gave a small shrug.

"Ginger never reveals her secrets," she replied, placing a small kiss on his jaw.

"Maybe I do need a break," he breathed, pulling her closer. Zhu Li grinned slyly, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Mhm…"
