When she arrived on the Astral Queen. She had one goal in mind. She had achieved her mission and she needed to give the arrow to the President. She had the arrow and they would find their way to Earth.
When she walked into the room she didn't see anybody but him. She had tunnel vision as she ran into his arms. They held each other tightly for a long while. Lee then broke away slightly and looked straight into her eyes. He kissed he lightly. He never thought about the consequences of his actions. He just did it. He captured her lips in a heated kiss.
She was caught off guard. She sank into the kiss. 'Oh, Lords, Lee. What are you doing? Please don't do this here.'
Lee broke this kiss after what seemed like a lifetime. "I missed you too, Captain."
He smiled "Remind me to throw you in the brig later." They walked the short distance over to the president. He was relived. He was whole again; now that she had returned. He was whole but she wouldn't ever know how he truly felt.
She was confused. Her best friend, who was a cylon, had shot Adama. Lee had kissed her and she felt… She didn't know what she felt. She bounced the ball against the wall and it sprung back to her. Anders was a good guy. He was fighting for what he believed in but why had she fallen for him. Her thoughts were interrupted when the ball didn't return and Lee's voice filled the room. 'Frak, I just want to be alone haven't you played with me enough today?'
He sat down with his back to her. The playful conversation they had started when he entered the room turned serious. 'If you ever want to talk about what happened you know were to find me. I love you and care about you."
Did he just say what she thinks he said or was that her mind playing another trick? That was it. She felt guilty about Anders. Anders reminded her of Lee. That is why she was so confused. She was in love with Lee. She needed Lee. Lee was her constant. She's in love with Lee Adama but she could never tell him.
"Repeat that middle part again." Kara asked.
Lee seemed to struggle for a moment. "I care about you." He knew that wasn't what she meant.
She turned to face him and kneeled on the bench. "No, you said you loved me.
You can't take it back. There are no take backs.
"You're a dreamer Kara, a dreamer." Lee mocked as he left the room
Lee walked back to his room deep in thought. He loved Kara. She was right he said he loved her. He just didn't have the strength to tell her again. He wasn't going to risk their friendship for the benefit of his feelings. He would keep his love for her to himself.
