A little fluffy story I wrote in honor of Valentine's Day. You kids have fun! ;)

"You're Amazing"
Hinata stared after Kiba as he trotted down the road with Akamaru at his side. He had left training early, leaving Shino and Hinata alone.
She turned to the kikaichuu wielder and said, "M-maybe we should take a b-break, Shino-kun."
Shino nodded. Hinata walked over to a grassy spot on the training ground and sat down, the afternoon sun warm on her pale skin.
Much to her surprise, Shino came over and took a seat beside her.
She jumped a little bit. "Sh-Shino-kun?"
"Hm?"
Hinata pressed her fingers together awkwardly. "N-nothing."
A comfortable silence settled over their heads until Shino broke the spell by saying, "You know Hinata, you and I are a lot alike."
Hinata stared at him curiously. "What do you m-mean?"
"In many ways, Hina-chan. I'm sure you could think of some."
Hinata considered a few, but didn't repeat them out loud.
Shino sighed, as if pondering whether of not to say something. "Hinata."
"Y-yes?" she stammered.
"I…" He exhaled again. "I think you are…"
Hinata blushed harder and turned away.
Shino sighed a third time. It seemed that he was very frustrated with himself.
"I think you're amazing," he blurted.
Hinata's eyes widened as she stared at her teammate in shock, her mouth slightly ajar. She then blushed again. "I…think you're…amazing t-too."
Shino suddenly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his chest. Hinata gasped before nestling against his shoulder.
"Hinata…"
"Sh," she hushed him and drew back slightly, but not breaking the embrace. She reached up and unzipped Shino's jacket a few inches, to the start of his collarbone.
Hinata's hands snaked in and laced her fingers around his neck. She leaned in and brushed her lips against Shino's. He hesitated, but then kissed back.
The kiss was short, but it meant the world to Hinata. Her inside felt all fluttery as she rested her head on Shino's shoulder, listening to the kikaichuu bugs humming inside of him.
Shino rested his chin on the top of her head and whispered, "Don't change, Hina-chan, not ever."
Hinata sighed wistfully, "You either."
"Deal."
