KEIKO: "Look, Yusuke, isn't he precious?"
YUSUKE: "A real chip off the ol' block, eh, Keiko?"
KEIKO: "We're a family, now…"
YUSUKE: "That's all good and well, but you should probably let me hold him while you get some rest. You look exhausted."
KEIKO: "I am, but its well worth it…"
Koenma turns from the screen to Botan. "Isn't this wonderful, Botan? Keiko has just given birth to a son! It's the start of a new generation…"
Botan turns her head down and away, her bangs masking her expression. "Indeed…"
"What was that, Botan?"
"Nothing, Koenma, sir…if I may ask, why are you watching this?"
Koenma turns to Botan with a quizzical look. "You have to ASK?!" This happens to be the most momentous occasion in recent Spirit World history-excluding Genkai's passing, of course. All of Spirit World is currently rejoicing in the birth of Keiko and Urameshi's son, Kenjiro."
"Not everybody…I find myself rather put off by the ordeal." Botan grabs her oar and steps onto the balcony of the tower.
"Nonsense…what's the matter, Botan? Oh, I see. The issue is about to be dealt with. You'd do best to stand down and not think about it. There are some aspects of being a reaper that are most unpleasant. But it is your duty to handle them as best you can. It was a difficult decision for all of us."
Botan hesitates for a moment, then steps onto the ledge in complete disregard.
"BOTAN! One more step and I'll have you stripped of your immortality and banished from this realm. It is not your place to interfere."
"So be it…I refuse to stand by and let this happen."
"Suit yourself, then…"
Botan leaps from the balcony and swoops to the ground below. As she nears the ground, her powers fade. Weakened, she collapses on the sidewalk.
