Luke Box

Lorilei Gilmore was looking for her sewing needles in her hall closet. She had agreed to make the costumes for the elementary school's production of Fiddler on the Roof. She opened box after box of stuff finding Christmas decorations, old dishes, some of Rory's old baby clothes, and when she got to the next to the last box and opened it up she realized that it was her Luke Box.

She pulled out a C.D titled Reflecting Light. The song she and Luke had danced to at his sister Liz's wedding.

They hadn't been together then, but they definitely liked each other. Lorilei wouldn't admit it not even to herself. He was a hermit and so he didn't admit anything to anyone, but he knew he liked her. Then a drunk Luke married Nicole on a cruise and Lorilei realised her feelings for him. Shortly after they were married Luke found out that Nicole was cheating on him and he divorced. Alone and eager to fill the hole in his life, he bought a self help book and tape. The purpose of the book was to find, gain, and keep your soulmate. Luke mostly found it annoying(he wondered out loud if anyone had anyone had ever kicked and audio tape's ass before.) but in the end he got what he needed. His soulmate was Lorilei Victoria Gilmore and he was going to let his actions speak for him. Luke asked lorilei if she would go to his sister's wedding with him. She assumed he meant as friends, the way he asked her, and she accepted. On the home there was a moment. A moment that, right before their first kiss, was confirmed.

The next Item she pulled out of the box was the dress she wore to the wedding. It was low-cut and sleeveless. The color was pink and it was sparkly. The dress was long and it sort of flowed at the bottom. Loriey remembered the night well. The dance, the food, the short tiff she had with Luke after she told him about a book Jess had, and, of course, the moment. Her heart beat faster she felt warm and she couldn't stop smiling. Usually, she cried when she thought about the moment, but this time she just felt like she used to, before she dated Luke.

The last thing she pulled out of the box was a photo. It was taken by Luke's old girlfriend Rachel. It was of Luke and her.

They were sitting on a bench together looking at eachother and smiling. She put the photo back in the box upside down and noticed some writing on it. It said:

He loves you Lorilei

You can see it in his eyes

so look.

Lorilei quickly put away the box and found her sewing needles. Luke loved her and they were getting back together and soon. She knew it. He loved her and she loved him. They had the whole package.

Two days after that in the middle of watching a movie, she heard pounding on her door. Luke embraced her and they shared a passionate kiss. Luke and Lorilei Gilmore-Danes were married in summer of 2006.
