Under the gun

Ezra saw her talking to Mike, he had tried not to notice her, not to stare, but it was so hard. She looked angry and a little upset, so he followed her quite a way behind. "Quit the innocent virgin act, everyone knows you and Mr Fitz weren't just scrabble buddies."

The moment he said Ezra's name she felt herself tense up, how could he know? Did Mike tell him? She didn't know what to say, what to do. If he told anyone about them Ezra could go to jail.

"How many points for the word 'Slut'?" He couldn't just let that boy talk to her like that.

"You shouldn't be in here, Miss Montgomery." He said. Aria stormed away, now all he had to do was try not to punch this guy.

"Don't ever talk to her like that again," he took a step towards Connor "or I can promise, you will regret it." Ezra turned and walked away, before he could say anything else stupid.

He saw her crying on the stairs, all he wanted was to hold her. But he couldn't she did't want him.

"Aria…", he sat beside her and brushed the hair from her face, "What was that about?" he asked gently. She lifted her head to look at him, her eyes shining with tears.

"I don't know what to do," she whispered, her voice broken with crying. So he did the only thing he could think of, he wrapped his arms around her. She didn't object as he'd expected, she settled into this once familiar position, he kissed her gently on the forehead. For a brief time they both completely forgot where they were, lost in the feeling of having each other close. When at last they broke apart he held her face in his hands, and then as if pulled together by some invisible force, their lips met. Their next kiss was hungry and desperate, as if this was the last time they'd be together.

They didn't know what they were dong, they never had. But when they were together, nothing else mattered. No matter how hard they tried they just couldn't stay away.
