Dean
Home to Dean was the road. All he needed was his family - his dad in the driver's seat
while Dean rode shotgun, Sam in the back complaining - and the Impala. Towns passed
unremarked, landmarks both noted and ignored. It made no sense to most, but to Dean
happiness was the scenery flying past while he and Sammy wrestled for leg room or
control of the radio. There was something about moving from place to place that was in
his blood. And while it was no secret that Sam had grown to hate their nomadic lifestyle,
to Dean it was perfect."

Sam
It took weeks before Sam got used to the lack of movement, before he stopped looking
for the Impala. Before he left, Sam dreamt of escaping: away from the hunt, away from
the road, able to make his own choices. He longed to put down roots, if only for a little
bit. He'd given up on either his dad or Dean understanding, though he never quit missing
them. The thing was, sitting alone in the dining hall, surrounded by a world he craved but
didn't really understand, Sam couldn't help but wonder if he should've been careful what
he wished for.
