"Mortal Enemies"
The Generation of Miracles, Seirin team, Himuro and Alex are sitting in Kagami's living room, celebrating Kuroko's Birthday. Kagami is sitting next to Aomine. Both are quiet, everyone else around them is caught up in another conversation.
They are not exactly what you would call friends. At least they don't act like it, but they both slowly started to realize something's off about the atmosphere around them whenever someone else was around. When Kise starts horsing around with Kuroko and the blue haired boy throws joking insults back in his quiet, monotone voice that doesn't fit the situation at all, Kagami thinks it's weirdly amusing and laughs out loud. His laugh, though, is interrupted by another deep chuckle coming from Aomine next to him. Both of them, catching themselves laughing at the same thing, immediately stop and glare at each other. Unacceptable. They couldn't possibly enjoy themselves in each other's company. That's just not what rivals did, right?
Himuro throws himself in between the two after watching the scenario and pushes their shoulders together by squeezing their faces, forcing them to look at each other properly.
"You're such big idiots", he says with a sly grin.
The "Idiots" stare at each other for a moment in surprise with wide eyes and Kagami is the first to break the eye contact to look at the floor with a frown.
"Shut up", he simply says and his cheeks get slightly red, even more so as he still feels Aomine staring at him.
He lurks up to get a glimpse of his 'mortal enemy'. Himuro still has the blue haired's face in his grip, squeezing tight despite Aomine's stern expression and it just looks so funny Kagami lets out a snort. Aomine finally jerks back at that and tries to look at something else in the room, an obvious frown on his face showing his discomfort.
Himuro laughs. This is going to be a very amusing evening. And when he leaves the two alone, their shoulders are still touching.
