Summary: When Sasuke was about to leave for a very serious mission, which could lead to his death, a friend comes and gives him one final goodbye before he departs.
This was it. Today was the day, where, Uchiha Sasuke, was about to leave his hometown to fulfill his mission, to kill his one and only brother Uchiha Itachi.
Bluish-black bangs fell as he bowed his head. He shouldn't have to do this. Fate can lead its way. Sasuke could have just waited more. Or he could have just let Itachi find him. But no, he couldn't. It was his mission to find and hunt down the man he once called his brother.
But in doing so, he would have to leave it all behind, his home, his friends, his, life. He remembered Naruto and his never-ending pranks and jokes. His stupidity and cockiness usually got the most of him. Oh, he will miss that boy.
He would also be leaving Sakura, the girl that always threw herself onto him. Why didn't she ever notice that he never had any whatsoever feelings for her?
He would still be leaving Kakashi-sensei. The man taught him a lot, and he would never forget him.
Finally, he would be leaving his friends: Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Lee, Tenten, Neji, Shikamaru, Chouji, Ino......
He paused. Ino. The next girl that went through the unlimited chase for him. But......why was it he always thought about her. He would usually compare her with Sakura. He would always choose her.
Suddenly noticing the time, he had to go. 4:00 AM stroke and he took one final glance at all that he would be leaving. "Goodbye..." Turning his heel, he saw a figure cased in the night.
The figure walked closer to him and the light shone. It was Ino.
"Sas-Sasuke, you're le-leaving?" she whispered. He observed the cold, white mist pipe through her mouth. He could tell she was freezing. He bowed his head.
"You-you can't......" she walked closer; "You can't Sasuke, you just can't!" quickly clinging onto him, she started crying, "You can't leave............me............"
"You.........can't........."
Sasuke sighed. Slowly lifting her chin he whispered, "I can't. I have to......" moving his lips he kissed her.
Ino cupped her hands upon his cheek and slid them onto his neck. Both played with each one's tongue, but soon they parted for air.
"Sa-Sasuke......"
"Goodbye, Ino. I love you."
Turning on, he disappeared in the night.
"I love you too."
Blue Savage: That's it! Kinda short but so cool! Also, sorry for the Gaara fans out there! I didn't place him and his team a while ago, was because they never had the Chuunin Exam yet. So, sorry...... Please review and no flames!
