His arm had gone numb in the few minutes that had passed by, but the American was cautious not to move another inch. Waking up the other would've have caused, well, hell to break lose no doubt. Arthur was always grumpy after naps, so it was something he really didn't want to deal with.

At least, not now.

He looked too peaceful to move.

The movie they had been watching was long over. In fact, another movie had come on after it, and was already nearing it's end as well. Yet, they hadn't moved an inch.

With shallow breathing, Alfred tilted his head to glance at the briton. He had always loved watching the other sleep. Not in a creepy way of course. It wasn't creepy at all. No.
Arthur was just...beautiful--was that even the correct word?--during moments like this. But, the younger nation still preferred to see him awake more. So he could see his eyes. And his smile (even though that within itself was rare enough).

"Arthur. Arthur wake up."

Said man shifted, incoherently mumbling into the other's shoulder with a slight frown.

"Stay awake for me."

"Nn," the englishman grumbled, rubbing his eye while staying in the same position. He had no intention whatsoever to move. "What do you bleeding want?"

"Will you stay awake for me?"

"...I'm knackered, Alfred. Let me catch some nip, please."

It was silent for another moment as Arthur made himself comfortable once more on the other's shoulder. The American bit his tongue, waiting for the right time to speak.

"Arthur."

"What the bloody hell do you--"

"Say my name. I just want to hear you say my name."

Blinking once or twice, the briton rubbed his eyes again before picking his head up to glance at the other. What a confusing request.

"Alfred."

A wide grin spread across the blue eyed man's lips as he chastely kissed the other.

"Will you stay awake for me? I don't want to miss anything."

"...Fine," he sighed with a light flush decorating his cheeks as he laid his head back on Alfred's shoulder. "...You're an odd one, you know."

"I know. But I'm a hero. So it makes up for it."
