Chikane watches with acute interest at the unconscious girl in front of her, in a revealing strapless nightdress made from the finest silk. After much contemplation, she decides to finally capture Himeko for her own. She hears from humans it is customarily if you love something, you should make it yours, and that is exactly what Chikane has done.

She loves Himeko.

Have probably loved Himeko ever since she met her in the rose garden where her coffin is. And loved her even more as she interacted more and more often with her. It exhilarate Chikane so much that he couldn't control her desires to mate with Himeko without permission from the latter, whom Gran cherishes with all his heart. When did Himeko become much more important? Chikane ponders slightly as she glances at the sleeping beauty.

But the tingle that Chikane feels on her fingers, the fire that burns with such intensity in her chest whenever she strokes her porcelain face. That feeling isn't fake.

Only a descendant of that demon hunting Kurusugawa clan can make her feel this way.

The vigor Chikane continues to display as she plays with her own virginity in perfect imagination, the passion that shines in her eyes afterward, Chikane loves it all.

She loves Himeko.

Chikane hears the girl stir and smiled. She can once more gaze longingly into those captivating eyes that she adores so much.

"Where… is this place?" Himeko asks groggily as she sits up. She rests one hand on her forehead as if trying to remember what had happen.

"You're in my base Himeko-chan. I brought you here because it's our wedding night." Chikane answers.

The color on Himeko's face drains immediately as she recalls the events that lead up to her capture.

"Is this really love, Chikane-chan…?" The girl asks quietly. She bents her head down to her knees while her body shakes without mercy from the memories. "You befriend me yet you betray me, you save me yet you fight me. Is this really love?" Himeko asks again.

"Yes it is Himeko-chan." Chikane crouches down and combs the trembling girl's hair in an affectionate manner. "This is love. And I love you." she smiles once more and places her hands on Himeko's shoulder.

"Do you love me too Himeko? Does your chest also burn every time you receive my kiss?" Chikane asks eagerly. Whenever Himeko was kissed, she must feel the same sensation. The same love that Chikane feels. She slowly tilts Himeko's chin with her fingers. But Chikane wants to hear the answer from Himeko herself. She wants to see those exuberant eyes that will sparkle as usual as Himeko answers her question, but gasps lightly at what she sees.

"…if your love," The girl bores deeply into Chikane's own eyes, shattering her perfect image of the Demon Slayer. "…means having to destroy everything I love… my friends, my uncle and this world…" she looks away, but the tears still rolls down on Himeko's chin regardless. "Then I would rather never love again."

What Chikane saw made her part away from Himeko in shock. The eyes are not the same, these now hollow eyes, devoid of any emotions. How can someone be alive and have such eyes? Where are the beautiful eyes that brim with passion at the call of her name? The same eyes that transfixes solely into one individual when they clash swords? She then comes to realize that these eyes were never meant for her. Those eyes look pass Chikane towards this planet, her friends, and possibly that Ogami Souma. There was no love for Chikane in the first place.

She feels her own eyes water and quickly covers it with her left hand.

All Chikane ever wanted was to love her, and be loved back.

The Nosferatu takes another step backwards as she stares at the now hollow human.

What exactly went wrong?
