Taken

Buffy slammed down the book she was reading and let out a long sigh. Andrew and Jonathan threw weird looks from across the table then went back to playing checkers. "Jonathan you can't do that in checkers!!!" Andrew shouted, "You jumped me at least 2 times!!" Jonathan sighed and said in an exasperated tone "You can jump twice if it can be done it the same move you nimrod". They started to argue among themselves, Buffy glanced over at them and just shook her head. "Why are they even here?" she thought to herself and looked down to the ground and a shiny object caught her eye. She bent over and picked it up-it was wedged into the ground- it turned out to be an earring. "This looks familiar", she thought, and then suddenly it hit her. This was the earring she bought Willow for her 18th birthday. She remembered how Willow said she couldn't find it and how sad she was. Then she started to think about other things, like when willow wasn't evil and still her best friend, "God I miss her" she thought. Suddenly tears started to well up in her eyes and she started to blink furiously and look around. "Good" she mumbled, "No one saw me." She felt relived because every one had enough on their place lately.

Buffy got up and headed towards the gym in the back of the shop. On her way she saw Xander and her heart started to pain, he didn't look too good. "Hi Xander. How's it going?" "Fine." Xander nodded but without enthusiasm. Suddenly she found her self in Xander's arms "Oh Xander" she heard herself say "I don't know how much more of this I can take" and she started to cry. Xander seemed a little surprised by this but he held her all the same. "Don't worry Buff, we'll get through this, we always have", but even Xander couldn't go on so he just held her.

After a few moments she broke away and started to wipe her eyes "Thanks." She continued on her way to the gym. As she walked into the gym she heard Anya go up to Xander and ask him want was wrong with her. She was going to turn around and say something but she thought the better of it. Then she started stretching and she wrapped her hands. She walked over to the punching bag and just started to punch it furiously. Then she stopped because she heard something creaked behind her. She turned around and to her surprise Willow was standing behind her.

"Ah, Dear Buffy Always Training", Willow said with an evil grin. "It won't help you this time." Buffy frowned, confused. "Buffy, You look at me as if I'm a stranger." Willow cackled. "Willow, What are you doing here?" Buffy asked.

"What no remark this time, no witty remark Buffy!"? Willow said with an extreme amount of anger. Buffy seemed taken aback by this sudden outburst of anger but willow calmed herself before talking again, "Well Buffy, get ready because its not going to be as easy as it usually is" And before Buffy could say something everything went black.
