Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Toad Stands By" from Season 4, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

I shall also note that this is my 200th story, and I'm planning on doing a 200th story special, so keep your eyes out for that.

Oliver had recently been to the Works to be mended after the foolish freight cars caused him to fall into a well.

Now Oliver was as good as new, but he was still worried that the foolish freight cars would cause more trouble.

"I'm not gonna use them." he puffed to himself.

But the foolish freight cars were up to no good. They started to sing a song about Oliver.

"Oliver's no use at all, he's thinks he's very clever. Say's that he can manage us, that's the best joke ever!"

"When he orders us around, with the greatest pressure. When he pushed us down the well...

POP GOES THE OLIVER!

Thomas, Duck and Percy were shocked.

"BE QUIET!" they ordered.

And every-time Oliver saw freight cars, the freight cars would sing and sing.

At last, the three engines gave up.

"We're sorry Oliver." they said.

"It's not my fault." said Oliver sadly. "I shouldn't have fallen in the well."

Toad the break-van felt sorry for Oliver and wanted to help.

Next morning, he spoke to Douglas.

"I'm worried Douglas that Oliver isn't being treated fairly. When is it going to end?"
"Who knows?" sighed Douglas.

"I have a plan Douglas. May I stay here today and help Oliver?" We're both Great Western and must stay together!"
"Certainly Toad!" replied Douglas as he puffed away.

Soon, Toad was explaining his plan.

"I must put this trouble right." said Oliver.

"And not be disrespected?" asked Toad.

"Of course." replied Oliver.

But really, Oliver was nervous that the plan wasn't going to work."

Oliver was coupled up to the freight cars two-by-two.

"That's the way to do it!" whispered Toad. "You can bump them if they become foolish."

"Pull back, pull back!" cried the freight cars.

The foolish freight cars giggled and giggled, but Oliver knew what to do.

There was plenty of sand on the tracks, and with a heave and a ho, the foolish freight cars came loose, and broke.

And they did.

But Sir Topham Hatt wasn't too happy when he arrived.

"What is the meaning of this?" he asked. "This is causing confusion and delay!"

"The foolish freight cars are causing trouble sir!" Oliver explained.

"So I see." said Sir Topham Hatt.

Sir Topham Hatt allowed Oliver to only pull freight cars when the others were busy.

And the freight cars had learned a great lesson, to take care around Oliver, or else you could get into trouble.
