Gold and Yellow were in trouble. Why you ask? A plant. Yes, a plant. Specifically, a piece of mistletoe that hung above them, in the door way.
Yellow stood, mortified and frozen in place from fear alone.
Gold, stood silently, glaring at the offending decoration, trying to make it spontaneously combust.
"Yellow," He said, not braking his glare at the cursed plant
"I suggest we turn around, and walk away." Preferably, before he burned the building down.
"I-its tradition." Yellow spoke up, although unsure as to why.
"It's not like there's any rules saying we have to kiss, Yellow." Gold stared down at the older girl.
Yellow shook her head
"It's a tradition." She had been raised to believe that a holiday was only special if you followed its traditions.
"Nobody's here to see it, so we can just walk away and pretend it didn't happen." The way she was arguing with him, made him almost think she actually wanted to kiss him. But he ruthlessly crushed that thought, before it even entered his head.
She liked Red, after all.
Yellow herself was confused with her reluctance to let this go. She felt she'd miss out on something if she just walked away.
Gold let a single eyebrow rise at the signs of determination beginning to burn in her eyes.
"Yellow...?"
She stood in front of him, the flames of determination, burning bright.
He stood in front of her, the confidence he usually held himself with, having evaporated away, in an instant.
Gold brought his hand up to his face, a low groan escaping as he pulled his hand across his face.
"You sure?" He wasn't going to force her. He hated to see girls forced into something they didn't want.
At her nod, he slowly bent down, as if he had done it a thousand times, when really this was his first.
Their lips inches apart there eyes started to close, just as the gap between them was closed.

"Yes, finally!!!" A hidden brunette exclaimed, as the two finally closed the gap.
"I don't see what you're getting so worked up about, Blue." The girl's companion, a boy with his cap on back to front, spoke up.
"Quiet, Red." She shot him a glare promising pain beyond words if he wasn't quiet. He was.

Gold slowly pulled away from Yellow, noticing that Yellow still had her eyes closed.
Yellow felt Gold pull away and she couldn't help the pang of disappointment the echoed in her chest. So, she kept her eyes closed, and savoured the taste of the boy who she had given her first kiss to.
"Hey, Gold?" She asked.
"Yeah?" He inquired
"How many times have we walked under this door today?" She was grinning.
Gold blinked, before catching her meaning. When he did, he laughed, before reaching down and capturing her lips in yet another kiss.
