Summary: TK consoles Kari, after Tai disappears just like Nyaromon.

When I'm gone

So hold me when I'm here.

Right me when I'm wrong

Hold me when I'm scared.

And love me when I'm gone

When I'm gone-3 doors down

Kari was still staring at the dark and distorted sky, still shocked, where her partner had disappeared, consumed in darkness. She was thinking about her digimon, thinking about her brother Tai and at that moment she couldn't feel the light of her crest.

She could hear that TK was saying something to her, but she couldn't pay attention and then Kari let go of his arms and ran, she hated this feeling of not being with her light, of worrying the others.

She sat behind a rock, hugging her knees and laying her head on them. Why was this happening to them? Why did her brother have to sacrifice himself? And now, because of her, her digimon had been corrupted by the darkness and was gone.

"Kari..."

Kari opened her eyes, her heart jumping for a moment at the voice of the boy she liked, but she kept her face pressed on her knees, feeling TK sit beside to her.

She didn't want the boy to see her like that again, like the time the dark sea had haunted her, he too had his problems and so she didn't say anything.

"Listen, I know things are bad Kari..." TK sighed, hating to see Kari sad, he was in love with her and wanted to be able to help her. He bent a knee, running a hand through his blond hair and looked at Kari, who was motionless, and it was as if he could see a black shadow around her.

"I don't know what to do." Kari finally said softly and TK felt his heart tighten and then, he wrapped an arm around her back, bringing Kari gently closer to him, their shoulders touching and Kari's eyes widened, lifting her head for a moment, looking forward, just like him.

"They always say that where there is light there is hope." TK whispered close to her ear, stroking the ends of her hair and Kari felt her heart beat faster with his words and closeness and TK brought a hand to his own chest where his crest of hope stay and he smiled:

"And where there's hope, there's light, then, take some of my hope Kari, because we'll find Tai and Tailmon, we will be able to save both worlds."

"TK..." Kari turned hef face to him, her brown eyes shining and, she could believe in what he was saying, feeling the desperation leaving her and she smiled, thinking of his words. "Thank you TK."

"Here's the smile I love..." He murmured and then blushed and she was surprised, her face blushing as well and then, Kari released her knees, sitting under them and staring at TK and she said, smiling:

"I always thought about us like this... Light and hope, hope and light, one completing the other... Thank you for reminding me of that."

"Good..." He said, feeling his heart warming, seeing her happy again and he then stood up, reaching out for her and Kari accepted his hand and the two stood facing each other, their hands still entwined.

And then, feeling their hearts racing, their faces were approaching and Kari stood on tiptoe, until they kissed, the two smiling with their lips pressing against the other and then they broke the kiss, saying no words, because they knew what the other was feeling and they joined the group, hand in hand, the light back thanks to the hope.
