Chapter One: Preface
Okay, first thing is first; all characters are still alive except for those who were killed in the Battle of Hogwarts with the exception of Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, Tonks, and Tonks. Let me explain;
Lily and James Potter: When Voldemort came to kill Harry at GOdric's hallow; they escaped after James casted the killing curse on Voldemort which only delayed the terror that Voldemort gave the wizarding world.
Cedric Diggory: That night in the grave yard, Harry got Cedric's attention seconds before the green light of the killing curse was to hit him, he then apparated to Hogsmeade on Harry's orders. They eventually met back up at the Quidditch pitch; where they split the prize money.
Sirius Black: When he went through the veil; he wasn't dead. He was sent to a mystery location that no one knows to this date.
Albus Dumbledore: He's Dumbledore, Snape can't get rid of him. On the quest to find the horcrux' the potion that was supposed to poison him killed the curse in his hand.
Severus Snape: He can put a stopper to death; don't you rememeber him saying that in the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone?
Fred Weasley: Percy got his attention as the wall was falling and he apparated to the Quidditch pitch (yes, during the war you could apparated)
Hedwig: Harry told her to go straight to the burrow no matter what happened. She made it there safely.
Mad-Eye Moody: Mundungus Fletcher wasn't going to betray him that easily. He apparated with Fletcher.
Remus Lupin & Nymphadora Tonks: During the battle, they stayed safe in the Room of Requirements with Ginny. Harry didn't want his godson to have an orphaned childhood like he did.
