I think every little girl relates to this song when it comes to there father. It's just a beautiful song. I love it. Hopefully you'll love it too.

I Loved Her First

He sat there watching his baby girl and her new husband dancing on the dance floor. It wasn't that long ago that she told him that he was her number one. He sighed watching them. They were so in love. He knew that this would happen someday. That she would find Mr. Right. The man that would take her whole heart. The only other man that she would have wrapped around her little finger.

He sat there and watched Stella run around the playground. She ran over to him and smiled. She smiled a toothy grin with her two front teeth missing.

"Daddy boys are gross!" She yells climbing on his lap.

"Why are boys gross?" He asks smiling at her.

"Cause they are. Daddy you'll always be my number one." She says looking up at him.

He smiles and shakes his head. He remembered all those times like they were yesterday. He remembers the first time she smiled up at him with those beautiful big brown eyes. The day she was born was the best day of his life. He had never felt such love towards another human being. It was indescribable. He loved every second of it. He had always wanted her to find Mr. Right, but he never realized how hard it would be to give her up.

When he thought about Stella out there dancing he still thought of her as that freckle faced little girl that would beg him for piggy back rides and that he would read Rapunzel and all those fairy tales to. She wasn't that little girl anymore. She was a woman, with a job and now a husband that loves her just as much as I do. He remembers when Stella went on her first date with Joe.

He opened the door and there Joe stood obviously nervous. He ushered the younger boy in and they sat on the couch.

"Sir I truly love Stella. Just so you know." Joe says looking up at him unsure of himself.

"I know you do Joe. I trust you with my Stella." He smiles at me. Stella walks down the stairs and looks beautiful. She smiles at Joe and gives her father a quick kiss on the cheek before taking Joe's hand and leading him out the door. I watched the two of them walk away smiling.

He knew from that moment on that Stella was long gone. That Joe now fully held her heart. Even though she told him that he was still in her heart. He watched as they said their vows to one another. The look of love in their eyes. He now watched them dancing on the dance floor. He had said something to her that made her laugh while he smiled.

Joe sat on the edge of the hospital bed with is new baby girl in his arms. He rocks her back and fourth and kisses her forehead.

"Daddy's here." He says smiling. Stella watched his actions and from exhaustion falls to sleep smiling at what she sees.

"I loved her first." Stella's father whispered to Joe. Joe nodded back at her father. Now his father and shook his hand.
