Okay guys this is my first attempt at a fanfic I have another one in the making but can't bring myself to mock the Mass Effect universe yet so I thought a serious Elder Scrolls oblivion one would do. We join my character in an inn known as The Grey Mare. Oh and also if you like you can imagine this as the back story to your character when playing too! So enjoy and hope you like it!

"I Am young in body and mind, but in age however, I am 387 years old. My name is Kaelian, I am a high elf of the Somerset Isles." The bold, dark figure paused for thought, thinking of what to say next. The barman looked bewildered at the name as the drunken Elf boasted to patrons who did not seem to care much.

Kaelian went over to the barman with a strong thud and a clink from his heavy armour. "My good sir I would require a room for the night." He said in his soft but somehow gruff elven voice. The barman was worried as to give this odd elf a room. He couldn't work Kaelian out, he seemed a nice person in words but his appearance was startling to say the least. "Y-Y-Yes you can its 10 gold but a man of your stature may have it for 1 gold piece!" The timid barman finally managed to bring his words to form. Kaelian laughed "I realize my armor is intimidating and worrying and you are also worried because I have drunk this night. Well I assure you do not worry, I am sober and of kind heart. Here's the money" Kaelian said removing his cloak and an enormous red evil looking helm. The elf boasted of being 387 years of age however, he looked no younger than a man in his early twenties. He smiled at the barman and handed him 10 gold pieces. Swiftly he grabbed the barman by the scruff of the neck, thinking for sure that he was dead, the barman made his peace with the Nine Divines. Kaelian however, spoke softly in his ear "check behind your stack of Cyrodilic Brandy, you shall find an extra 100 Septims in a small sack." and with that Kaelian unhanded him, smiled and said softly "goodnight my good man" and retired to his room.

The next morning the barman went up to thank Kaelian for his generous tip and to tell him he admired his little act the night previous. He reached the room and opened the door. There was nothing there except a few scorch marks on the wooden floor. The room reeked of the Gold Coast flowers and the smell of the sea. The barman turned to run for the door but he could not, for standing in the doorway, was a man dressed in a cloak and black armor. Before the barman could even speak, the figure plunged a sword into his breast puncturing his heart. The last thing the barman saw was his heart still beating on the blade...

There you go guys Hope you enjoy the first part if you want any improvements or any suggestions for future chapters before the imprisonment of our dear Kaelian then please don't hesitate to put it in a review.
