Prologue:

I looked around the empty clearing thinking, this is it. I fought long and hard, and I can't seem to regret anything I have done in my life. I could never regret finding Edward, my Edward. I could never ever regret bringing the most beautiful creature into existence. The thought of Edward and Renesmee brought me smile in the mists of my second death.

What could I do now? I was alone. I would stand here alone, and face this by myself. I could never be selfish enough to bring my family into this problem that I now faced. I would fight, until my last limb is burned. For all the ones I loved.

As the crazed creature approached me, I felt venom pool in my mouth and a snarl escape from my lips. As the vampire crouched I followed pursuit, waiting for the next move to be made.
