Prologue
Severus Snape held his dead love in his arms, grieving over her death. He looked up and he heard the wail of a child. A few feet away was a bundled up baby. Severus gently layed down Lily and picked up the baby. A girl? He was under the impression that the potters had a son, not a daughter. The girl had curly red hair and bright emerald eyes. Severus sobbed, she looked exactly like Lily. she was beautiful. His heart melted as he looked at the innocent child who had just lost her parents. Severus noticed writing sewn into the baby's blanket. Lycoris. Severus stood up, appearing to his house on Spinners End. From this day forward the child would be known as Lycoris Snape.
A/N okay so I know this is uber short, but hey it's the prologue, it's not suppose to be long. The name Lycoris is actually a flower. This is not a SnapexLycoris story, that's weird. YES this is a mentoring story, obviously. No the is no slash, smut or any of that stuff, it's purely innocent so don't ask -.- have I forgotten anything
