"Tadase! Wait!"
How useless, Hikaru thought, listening to all of the girls running after Tadase. He hoped that he wouldn't end up like that.
"Prince!" they yelled. "Hold on a second!" Hikaru moved aside quietly to let them pass. "Why...?" he started, but he was interrupted by Tadase.
"I am no mere prince!" he yelled. "I am the king! Bow to me, your rightful ruler!"
Hikaru was suddenly interested. The shy, polite Tadase was acting like this? He had to ask Amu about this. Everyone (Hikaru suppressed a snicker) knew that if you had a question about Tadase, she was the one to ask.
"Uh...yeah, that's his character change," Amu said at their hangout. "We just try not to say prince around him."
Hikaru tilted his head thoughtfully. "Are all of you like that?" Just then, the rest of the Guardians, including Kukai, walked in.
"Well, usually, my Guardian Characters character change randomly whenever they want." She glared at Ran, Miki, and Su. "Rima character changes when someone tells a bad joke, and believe me, it's not very funny."
"Try again, Amu..." Rima muttered. Kusukusu giggled.
"Anyway," Amu cut in. "Kukai is lucky, he only character changes by choice. Nagi has another Guardian Character who does what he pleases."
"The old queen, Nadeshiko, had a very surprising character change," she said wistfully. "But you'd have to see it to believe it."
Hikaru saw Nagihiko freeze up behind her.
Hidden in a bush, Iru and Eru (AN: I know them as Il and El) argued with each other.
"I will not let you do this, Iru!" Eru wailed. "Think of the love!"
Iru kicked her. "It has nothing to do with love, idiot! Now wait while I go there and character change Hikaru!"
Hikaru suddenly felt the urge to use this new knowledge...starting with Tadase.
