I'm on a writing rampage lately, ne? I'm just waiting around waiting for Dragon Knights #21 which doesn't come out until November/sigh/
Anywho, this is a short one-short for Viaresu (Bierrez for us Tokyopop people) after his resurrection.

He held his hand out and let a gentle smile drift across his features as the quickening breeze parted around it. His long white sleeves fluttered as the blue skies slowly succumbed to the grayness. A storm was coming. But the breeze was wonderful.
Viaresu had always enjoyed the wind. He wasn't quite sure why. Perhaps it reminded him of her.
Emerald eyes turned to the rolling landscape. Far down below he could see the human townspeople rushing about, preparing for the storm. And it's gonna be a doozy. As if to answer his thoughts, a large gust sprang to life, temporarily filling his ears with nothing but the rush of wind.
With a slight frown, he pushed his bothersome bangs aside, the blonde and orange strands rustled from their constant movement. The calm before the storm. How appropriate… he mused, a wry grin playing across his lips. "For it's all about to begin," Viaresu whispered in a rare moment of seriousness, the words lost among the wind's torrents.
A sudden spark of fiery pain sent his hand clutching his chest. Pain twisted his face as the Red Dragon Crystal urgently reminded him of the task awaiting. I know. I know! His hissed mental mumblings calmed the gem. His eyes closed, a flint of gold echoing in the annoyed depths.
"So much for relaxation. A guy can't even enjoy a decent resurrection nowadays." The Yokai straightened as he mentally called for his sword. The slim blade weighed down in his bare palm. "Well, let's go save some Dragons, shall we?" He smirked as he rested the ruby hilted weapon on his shoulder. With an irritated sigh, he turned away from the cliff view.
One final breeze melded everything into a tumult of motion. And then, the first drop fell on the eve to come.

…I linger in the doorways of alarm clock screaming monsters calling my name…let me stay…where the wind will whisper to me…where the raindrops as they're falling tell the story…
…Kindness is something I don't want or need…the sunshine would just dissolve me into light…give me a pain as pleasing as your sigh…so I can feel you all the day and night…and keep me from fading away…
