Kagome yelled at InuYasha, once more, that she believed

she was more than just a 'jewel detector'.

"Don't know what you're expecting of me

"I'm trying to understand what it's like for you!"

she screamed at him angrily.

"You always just think I'm screwing up and that

Kagome and InuYasha had both become so numb with

Emotion, they began to fade out as they stood in silence.

"Can't you see that you're smothering me

'I just hope I'm not too much of a disappointment to

you, InuYasha…I hope you won't think me useless.' Kagome thought sadly within the silence.

Slowly, Kagome began to voice her thoughts, "I'm-…sorry…if I'm really

back, and get in the way…I don't mean to…" A tear fell softly from

Kagome's dark lashes.

Kagome clamped her eyes shut as the tears began to flow.

"I just have to do a bit of my own thing some of the time

too, I'm sorry if it gets us in trouble too often."

She screamed the last part letting the tears fall freely. InuYasha opened his eyes wide in shock, then looked down sadly, but with a sense of truth.

InuYasha's mind began to sink away to a time, a time when

He had people constantly calling him names, and one

Time he had tried to fight back by biting a villager's arm.

His Mother had been disappointed in him.
