The Divine Demon
She watched him from afar. The graceful divine being, named Kurama. His eyes seemed hepatize her into wild fantasies far from reality and sense. The way he walked drove her insane, and his voice made her long for him never to go silent. When he looked at her, she seemed to be imprisoned in his gaze, suffocating her in a hold that she never wanted to get out of. She wished she could tell him the way she felt, she would approach him carefully, and full of confidence. But when she called out his name and he looked around, she would freeze. Her vocabulary went far from her. She felt lost in him. His brilliant eyes, his soft smile took her far from sanity. Mixed feelings consumed her. She hated him, but then she loved him. She wanted to be with him every moment, then she would want to be far away from him. She wanted him so. She wanted to be in his strong arms holding her closely, whispering in her ear saying, "Everything's going to be alright."
She imagined herself in the White Forest, staring at the moon and stars, with horrible memories of her past haunting her. And Kurama coming up behind her and slipping his arms around her waist and nuzzling her neck. Then he would turn her around, facing him and gaze deeply into her eyes and know what troubled her and bring her lips to his. She would awake from her dream when he came around and she would try to make her dreams real. She came to the truth. "How could someone as fine as he is ever fall for an elf with a troubled past?" she would think to herself. She knew that she had a little chance, for guys keep staring at her and try to ask her out. She would turn them away without second thought; her heart belonged to Kurama. Even if he would never look at her more than just a friend, she would wait until the end of days and longer.
One night, while in the White Forest, singing softly, Kurama leaned against a tree and listened to the soothing lyrics in the fair elvish tongue. She felt a presence but continued to sing. He looked at her in the silver moon. She seemed so heavenly. Open to the night and stars. He walked up to her from behind and as she dreamed, he put his arms around her waist and placed his chin on her shoulder. She jumped at the feel of his skin against hers. "What made him do this?" she asked herself. "Is this a trick?" She kept her eyes fixed on the moon and sang softly. She finished her song.
"You sing beautifully." He said softly.
"Thank you." She replied. "Did make it up? What was it called?"
"No I didn't. And it's called Gul Ithil, the hymn of my people."
"A beautiful song, for a beautiful woman." She looked down and closed her eyes, and Kurama let go of her waist. He turned her around and lifted her head up. She looked into his eyes and he looked into hers. Then before she knew it, her lips were up against his. She thought she had died and gone to heaven. The kiss ended and Kurama whispered in her ear, "Long have I wished to do that. Long have I wanted you in my arms and never let you go." All words were erased from her head. She couldn't find the words to say. "No need to say anything." Kurama said softly. "I love you, and I'll never think different." She couldn't think nor speak. All that came out was the melody to the song Mah Meleth (Pure Love). Kurama knew the song well and knew how she too felt. He held her closer, and whispered, "I'll never let you go." And the forever remained in deep love.
