Her sapphire blue eyes connected with his stone grey ones. Their noses were inches apart, she could feel his breath on her lips and he could feel hers. There wands pointed against each others chests. They both knew that they wanted what the other had and they both knew what was going to happen next. No one spoke, no one dared to speak. The look of hatred was over thrown by lust. Her voice was barely a whisper.
"Be my guest" And she dropped her wand, took a step back and raised her arms. He was taken aback, was she really surrendering? He kicked her wand behind him and stepped towards her. In one swish he bound her hands behind her back and then like a lion with its prey circled her. Her posture remained straight and her head remained still. He walked round to face her.
"Why aren't you cowering, begging for your life?"
"Because Lucius, I am not a coward. I accept what I am going to get." She looked into his eyes.
"I am not afraid of death, in fact I will welcome it with open arms. And do you want to know why?" Lucius nodded cautiously,
"Because it means I get away from you……for good!" That last word was spat with such hatred that it hurt her to say it. Lucius sighed and took five paces, stopped took a deep breath, a single tear rolled down his face. And then in one swift movement he turned, raised his wand and yelled those two dreadful words.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" A flash of green light hit her squarely in the chest, she swayed for a moment and then fell back. The look on her face is what will haunt him for the rest of his life, as she wasn't crying nor was she scared. She was smiling. Even in death.
