Toph was sitting on the rock facing every one around the camp fire. Zuko, who just joined the group, was sitting next to her. Zuko was guilty at the fact that he burned Toph's feet so he's trying to make up for it by helping her every way she can. Toph liked it but she got annoyed of it after a while. Her feet were healed but still were a little red. She was able to see again but it hurt when ever she slid her foot.

Every one was talking about the temple and what to do next. Toph didn't really seem to pay attention and Zuko was just waiting for some one to notice him. He's been here a few weeks and no one seems to talk to him much. The only time they see him talk was when teaching fire bending to Zuko or when ever spoken to. Toph said "hey sparky would you mind getting me some water?"

"Yah sure" was all Zuko said. He got up and went to the fountain and got a water pouch. He filled up the pouch as much as he could and then brought it back to Toph. Toph snatched it out of his hands and chugged it down.

"Anything else?" he asked.

"No its okay. Thanks Zuko…" Toph said putting the pouch down.

"Okay"

"So how's the fire bending with Aang?"

"Its going great. He's a fast learner but he's to shy." he looked at Toph.

"That's twinkle toes for ya. He's to much of a wus to be fierce." She took another drink from the pouch.

"I guess… so how's your feet?" he asked.

"It's fine Zuko. Stop asking Me." she said annoyed.

"Sorry… its just I didn't mean to and I just want to help make it better"



"It's okay. You've done enough already. Jeez you're more annoying then when momo eats on my head."

"But... Is there any way else I can say I'm sorry?" he asked.

Toph sighed and tapped her hand on the rock to get a look around. There were some steamed buns next to where Sokka was sitting. She smiled. 'I got an idea…' she thought to herself.

"go get me a steam bun and then you'll be sorry." She said crossing her arms.

"Alright..." Zuko got up and walks over to Sokka. Sokka looked at him funny.

"What do you want Zuko?" he asked.

"Mind if I take a few of those?" he asked

"No! These buns contain the only meat I can eat for miles! You can't take that from me!" he grabs the plate of steam buns and put them in his lap and hunched over it to protect them. Zuko sighed.

"give me the steamed buns or your burns will be steamed." He said annoyed.

Sokka had that same look on his face when ever he was scared. He gave him 3 steam buns and said "okay happy?"

"Thank you" Zuko said and walked away.

Toph smiled and yelled over to Zuko "hurry up sparky!"

He started to run back to Toph and that's just what she wanted. He was a few feet away from Toph and it was the right time. Toph slid her hand back making a little mount of rock under Zuko's feet. He didn't notice it and his feet lost balance and he tripped over Toph but his lips met hers. Toph put her hands on his cheeks and made sure that he wouldn't forget it. Every one looked at them in shock.



Zuko didn't really know what to do but he kissed back. It was a good long while but Toph finally broke away. Zuko just looked at her in shock and his face was red. Toph's face blushed and giggles.

"Okay now I forgive you"
