Sometimes he simply sat and looked out the window. There were many times he wondered why, but he couldn't go back and change his actions, his eyes lingered on the dump for a few seconds before he closed his eyes and let the tears slip down silently.
Sometimes he still couldn't come to terms with the fact that they were all gone, everyone. Been deleted sucked. The handyman's eyes drifted up to the sky, no one knew what been deleted was really like, now he did and he understood why the glitches often feared the games they resided in been unplugged.
He breathed out, he was nothing but a glitch though, a glitch in yet another unplugged game in this wasteland. He turned around upon hearing footsteps, his eyes met the black ones of a green hedgehog with a black face and markings on it's arms.
"Hey Ashura..." he waved at the hedgehog halfheartedly "how's everything been over in the speed zone?" he asked and the hedgehog gave him a silent thumbs up, unable to speak. "That's good..." the handyman stated gazing back up at the sky.
His eyes slowly dropped to look back at the dump and he closed them before rubbing his hand tiredly over his brow. So many mistakes, especially trusting that, that thing. He opened his eyes again to see that Ashura was looking at him in worry.
He gave the hedgehog a weak smile before he watched the dump again. He was almost desperate to see Ralph, but he would never be able to. After been glitched and then having the game unplugged with him trapped within. He closed his eyes again, and almost yelped when Ashura rested a hand on his back sadly.
"Sometimes I just wish that I hadn't foolishly allowed that monster to trick me..." he trailed off as the hedgehog tilted his head. "I'm sorry Ashura, I shouldn't be bothering you with my problems" he mumbled twiddling his thumbs and walking back into the room with the hedgehog following him. "It's just I miss them all. It's so hard to accept that I no longer exist" he allowed his head to fall into his hands and cry again.
Ashura may not have been able to talk but he knew a lot about regret and broken dreams. He was just a glitch character, his newest and first proper friend in this place though had been turned into a glitch. He just wished sometimes that he could talk and properly comfort his friend, at least this Felix was better company than Wechnia.
He walked over to the blue suited handyman and smiled silently at him. He really hoped that the fixer would get his meaning as he jumped out the window and spun down the side before skidding to a stop and waving. They were all glitches here, not one of them were supposed to exist and yet they did.
Felix waved back before he watched as Ashura ran off disappearing heading away towards the speed zone, he of course never left the zone that he was in, always waiting, waiting for someone who would never come, something that would never happen.
"Sometimes..."
Oh man am I evil... just a little oneshot, also this is my personal headcanon and the idea has simply been stuck in my head for a while now, especially after I read this story: s/8689720/1/Bugged Of course this oneshot has elements that contradict the story, also first time using Ashura the Hedgehog (anybody else remember him?). Anyway this is short and rather poignant I think, poor Felix he just has everything happen to him, LOL.
Don't know if I'll do more with this idea or what *shrugs* for now it simply is what it is, a small oneshot.
