Imagine your otp at an amusement park and Person A is scared to go on a roller coaster. Person B convinces them to go on and they both come off the ride extremely happy and want to go again.

"You expect me to get into that contraption?"

"I'm pretty sure they had roller coasters in the 1800s."

"Yes, small, reasonable, wooden ones, not these metal monstrosities."

"It isn't that bad. This one is actually pretty small."

"There are larger ones?"

"Much, in this park, even."

Myka smiled when Helena's eyes started to flick around her.

"We saw them coming in," Myka told her.

"Those things are rides? People actually get in them?"

Myka actually laughed at the look on Helena's face.

"They're fun."

"They throw you around at speeds a car is liable to go, and with much less security features."

"More people die from car crashes then roller coaster accidents."

"Do not try to make it sound any better. That thing is a death trap."

Myka settled her hands on Helena's waist. Her thumbs lightly rubbed the fabric of her jacket.

"It's the simplest steel coaster in the park. If you don't like it, I won't force you on any of the others."

Helena continued to watch the movement of the cars on the track. Her eyes were narrowed skeptically. Myka knew she had already figured out the physics and logically knew it would be safe.

Too bad logic didn't always factor in.

Myka dropped her hands and turned to the ride.

"And," she started as she walked towards the ride entrance, "there is always the chance that Pete will hear about you chickening out before your first coaster."

"You would not dare," Helena replied as she moved to catch up.

Myka just grinned at her over her shoulder.

-oOo-

"Was she actually scared to get on the first one?" Jinks asked.

Myka smirked at him and nodded.

"Well, looks like she got over it."

She laughed. The laugh grew when she caught sight of Helena leading Claudia and Pete out of the exit tunnel of the ride. Not just any ride, the most intense roller coaster in the park.

Pete made his way over to where Myka and Jinks were sitting, while the other two raced back into the line.

"I don't know how they do it," Pete groaned as he practically fell onto the stone wall.

"Well, Claudia's young and Helena…" Jinks cut off. "Actually, I'm not sure how she's doing it."

"Great, let's add another mystery to that woman's file," Pete huffed.
