The third day is a spiritual day.

Looking up at the tall man before her, Genkai had an impassive look on her face. It had been a long time since she last saw him, not since the end of the Dark Tournament where she saw him off.

"So you've finally passed on for good," stated Toguro.

"I have. It was just my time," replied the pink-haired master. "What are you doing here, Toguro? I thought you chose to be in Hell?"

"I had sensed your spiritual energy. I had hoped that it wasn't because of this."

Genkai let out a snort. "I'm old. Death is an inevitability."

"…Did the boy take your death well?"

A smirk appeared on her face. "Getting sentimental on me, Toguro? That's not like you at all."

It was Toguro's turn to smirk. "Only with you, Genkai."

She merely shook her head with a soft smile on her face. She looked back up at her former lover. "To answer your question, Yusuke took my death as one would expect from him; shed a few tears and moved on."

"As long as he doesn't become depressed over it and lose that warrior spirit of his."

Genkai could only roll her eyes. Leave it to Toguro to act like a father who doesn't want his son to be a weakling. She gave him a stern look, which he looked away from.

"Let the boy grieve in his own way. If he did become depressed, he has friends who would help him through it," stated the old woman. The only response she got was a grunt, causing her to roll her eyes once more. "Anyway, I'm glad that you came, Toguro. Despite the punishment you gave yourself, I was hoping I'd get to see you one last time before I moved on."

"I too, Genkai."

Memories passed between the two as they smiled at each other. With one last glance they went their separate ways, Toguro back to Hell and Genkai off to Heaven. They may not ever be able to see each other again, but that didn't matter to them.

They knew how they felt about each other and that was all that mattered for them in the end.

It's been a long time since I've watched Yu Yu Hakusho. I have the complete series on DVD, but I can never find the time to actually watch them.
