So I got bored and decided to remake my old story called A Taste Of Our Death. Hope you enjoy it! Also, a lot of dialogue is inaccurate because I haven't read Bluestar's prophecy in a few months.

So...cold...

The wind lashed at my fur as she stumbled through the snowy landscape, icy jolts running up my paws. I seeked warmth from my mother, but Bluefur was so determined to reach the destination of whatever game they were playing. I felt numbness capture my tail and parts of my body. My entire body was quivering.

What was the game? I can't remember. Secret Escape, I think.

My movements grew sluggish as my mind drifted off. I couldn't remember anything or think. All I felt was this strange coldness washing over me. I wanted to sleep but my mother urged me on.

I needed to win.

Stonekit and Mistykit had the same mindset as Bluefur, enthusiastic to play. They weaved around bushes blanketed with snow tinted silver by the slivers of moonlight that had managed to reach the surface. I squinted my eyes to see through the thick screen of snow whirling towards the ground, but not much could be seen. I've never been out of the territory before. Hopefully, when it's not snowing the terrain will be much nicer.

I tried to think about other things but my mind kept presenting the same question.

Where are we..?

My body started to ache from the relentless walking. Hopefully Bluefur would let us climb into another hole of hers. Weariness dragged at my feet. All I wanted was just a wink of sleep...

Stonekit chirped up, "Bluefur, I'm tired!" Stonekit's complains brought me back to reality, and I mustered enough strength to catch up with the rest of the group. I was falling behind and each step felt like I was carrying boulders.

Bluefur nodded and halted her trek, bringing a smile to her muzzle. I was relieved to receive a bit of rest when she saw her mother scrape up the snow to form small holes. Bluefur felt tired, too. I could feel it. I couldn't bring myself to tell my mom we were okay. My body was too busy swaying and trembling with the wind.

I suddenly started dragging myself to the hole. Little warmth drifted in it, but my siblings thought otherwise. Aren't they supposed to be just as cold as I am? I let out a shallow sigh. I was freezing. I pressed up against my brother. What was his name again...? I can't remember...

Oh, well. It doesn't matter. I hear my mother's little murmurs of worry. Don't worry, we're just getting a little rest. I feel my eyelids droop as numbness envelopes me.

When I wake up, I'm going to win the game. The leader will make us warriors right then and there, because we're just so great!

I flutter my eyelids to feel strength running in my veins. I puff up my chest, glad to feel that I'm all better. I sit up and yawn, spotting my brother and sister next to me. They were the first to wake. Why didn't they wake me up? That's no fair! I leap away from my resting spot and arch my back in a stretch, showing my mother how well I feel.

She isn't paying attention to me. "Hey!" I mew, scampering up to my mother. "I'm here, too!"

She's murmuring something to something, grief brimming her tone. I don't understand. What's wrong? Suddenly, a voice sounds behind me. I perk up my ears and whirl around, finding a white-furred molly purring down at me.

"Hello," she whispers.

"Hi!" I mewled back. "Who are you?"

"I'm Snowfur. I'm going to take care of you until your mother is ready."

"Ready for what?" I question, my head tilting.

"You'll know in time. Now, little one, come with me." Snowfur was already padding off into the distance, away from Bluefur.

"What about my mother?" I squeaked, scrambling over to catch up with the graceful feline.

Snowfur flicked her tail. "She'll be fine."

I give her a look of confusion, but I don't press her for any answers. To fill the empty air, I bring up being a warrior. "Guess what? I'm the best at mossball. I'm probably going to be the bestest hunter in the history of hunters!"

Snowfur purred, "Oh? You probably got that from your mother. She caught prey on her first day."

I rounded my eyes in awe. Bluefur was so cool. I'm going to be just like her when I grow up.

We chatted away excitedly, and she told me about her kit and her warrior life.

All I could think about was when I would be a warrior too.

Yeah, I kind of rushed the ending. Sorry about that. Let me know if I made any mistakes or anything.
