"Not so pretty when it finally goes down eh?"
I smiled weakly as Kat buried her face into my shoulder, trembling. Not out of fear or the cold but from the spikes of pain stabbing through the two of us. I cringed as a sharp snapping sound like a tree branch came from somewhere in my back. I clutched Kat closer and felt her fur becoming longer and scruffier. Or maybe it was mine, kinda hard to tell. I winced as the muscles in my arms swelled up to well past their normal size and my shoulders popped and widened. Claws tore through the fingertips of my gloves which in turn ripped along the sides and fell to the ground in sad little made a growl/whine noise that a dog in pain would probably make. I echoed it with a louder whimper of my own as my muzzle stretched out and the teeth turned to ears and tail both grew longer.I arched my back while it, along with my chest pushed course, with a final flourish I snarled loudly as my backbone gave one last crunching lurch. I slumped and fell back on the cool grass, Kat falling back with me. Her amber eyes, glowing like jewels, looked up at me from my chest. She smiled,
"Meh, I'm kinda sick of sunsets."
