Something Hidden in the Forest
Deep in the dark pine forest,
It's rumored something evil homes there.
You're about to prove all you superstitious friends wrong.
The fallen leaves crunch underpaw as you creep along.
Adrenaline is making you jump at every noise that touches your ears.
Taking a deep breath, you continue forward, looking for something, anything.
A crack is heard from above and you look up, seeing nothing.
A shiver runs down your spine as you step forward.
Something is watching you.
You call out for it fearfully.
Something cackles.
A flash of black.
Screaming.
Death.
