She stared out the fogged up window waiting for the time to pass. "Only six more hours," she thought to herself. Meghan and her family and her were on their way to Orlando, FL. They would spend the night in a motel, and from there they would take the Empress of the Seas all around the Carribean the next day. The Empress of the Seas was the newest cruise ship in the Royal Carribean cruise line. She had no idea what she was in for. "Mom, can't we just stay at home and be a normal family for once?" she said. She was sick and tired of being the odd one out. She lived in Blacksburg, VA, but was the only rich one their. For once in her life, Meghan didn't want to be poor she wanted to be normal, whatever normal was, even if it ment staying at home sitting by the fire and reading. "Wow doesn't that sound nice she thought, a warm, cozy fire to curl up by and take a nap." It wasn't that long ago that she remembered being normal, she had friends that she would go to the mall with, and that cute guy, Derik, she would always talk to. Wow, Derik, its been a long time since she thought about him. There was that one time. She was running along the beach with him, and then he picked her up and threw her in the ocean. It was just the two of them and they stayed on the beach for what seemed like hours. They were watching the sun set, then all she remembers is ending up in her bedroom in her bed. She didn't have her night clothes on, but it didn't matter.
Beep Beep Beep Beep! It was only six a.m. when she looked at the clock, she could have sworn she had set it for eight. " Hey mom, did you reset my alarm?"she asked. " Yea honey. You had it set for eight and by that time the ship would have already left." Maybe it would have been better if the ship left without her, it didn't cost that much for a train ticket right?
They found their room immediately. It was suite number 205. I wondered around and went to the teen club. The best part about it was that there was a NO PARENTS ALLOWED sign on the front of the door. She seemed to be the first one there. Well might as well give it a try. It was about 10 minutes later that this girl Rachel and her sister Cassie showed up. They all sat and talked about things like where they were from and how old they were, but Meghan was in mid-sentence when a guy walked in. "Hey im Eric, and you are?" "I'm Meghan, " she replied quickly. Cassie and Rachel introduced themselves as well. Next thing you know it, they were all sitting in a circle chatting as if they had known each other for years, let alone minutes. .
