Title. Pure Intentions.
Author. silveraqueen.
Summary. There is no such thing as showing kindness on the battlefield. Nevertheless Renji unintentionally shows Jackie that people aren't so bad after all. Short drabble describing ch 466.
Disclaimer. Tite Kubo owns Bleach. And if I did, trust me… the whole thing would be a badly written mess.
Author Notes. I am more in love with Renji then ever before. And I'm pretty sure Jackie is too. *wink* I mean really. Who wouldn't fall for that! I seriously hope that Jackie is alive and that we see more IchigoxIshidaxKugo action. LOL.
There is no such thing as good people.
Maybe that's why she let dirty things cover her. Why not camouflage herself in the mist of her saviors? So they would know that sweet nothings could not rattle her. Could not rattle her purpose.
But when her enemy looked straight ahead in determination.
"A man who raises his hands on a women is trash. If I have to be trash in order to survive… it'll be just like dying."
Her eyes widen. Inside she screamed and belittled him on his foolish resolve, his chivalrous acts. When his calloused hands roughly holstered her up, she expected to be carried like trash. Instead he carried her gently, close to him as though she was worth caring about. Entirely brushing off her earlier pleas, opting for finding an exit together by force.
She wasn't worth it. Jackie was taught that at an early age. She remembered something. Herself. Alone. Crying and filled with dirt. Her favorite and only boots filled with grimy residue. In her arms she held something. Shutting her eyes she pushed the memory away.
She would rather remember this one.
"If only the people who saved me… were good people like you…"
Forcing her eyes on his and she let her self smile.
She won't let him vanish on account of some messed up child. She won't let the only good person she found disappear. She won't let him die because of his pure intentions.
His tattooed eyebrows raised a bit in concern.
"Hey, you…"
Letting her engine burst as she thought for the last time.
Good people exist.
She kept smiling.
