Disclaimer: I do not own the Chronicles of Narnia. I most definitely do not own the Star Cycle by Wildhorses1492—or any of the characters within.

Author's Note: This is a short poem about Arran, one of my favorite characters in the Star Cycle by Wildhorses1492. All credit goes to her!

Half human, yet half Star,

A vagabond you are,

Caught twixt the earth and sky.

Look decades in the eye

As they pass by.

All others die, yet you live on

Until your earthly light is gone.

You need no food nor rest beside

Until you sit at Aslan's side.

Why do you wander here below

When to the sky you wish to go

To dance among your kin?

Deep, deep within,

Like others' sin,

You see the line 'tween the earth and home

And you stay down here to roam.

Some fascination lurks in kind

Beneath the skies you left behind.

What drags you here?

Are you a Seer

To know what lies ahead?

Whose marriage bed

Will soon be dead?

Whose home will burn?

Whose luck will turn?

Or does some other fortune bring

You from the sounds the Stars do sing?

I fancy 'tis some human maid,

Her tousled hair hung in a braid,

Her black-blue eyes,

Lit in surprise

At starlit skies.

You love her beauty, love her gaze

You stand amazed.

But does she love you,

Could it possibly be true?
