Right Side Up
So, this is kind of pointless. It's of the scene in Pirates of the Caribbean – At World's End, when Jack turns the ship over so they would be the right side up. But different. Here, they don't know what he's doing. This is just my take. I typed this out in 15 minutes, so don't expect much. It's short and simple. Constructive criticism and flames are welcome.
I do not own Pirates of the Caribbean.
And for a second, they were sailing the sky.
He read their minds clearly as if the words they kept hidden were spoken directly to him. They wouldn't look at him the same. Once before, their eyes would show curiosity, and wonder when their gazes settled upon him. They'd wonder what he would do next as he was as unpredictable as the waves of the sea, going this way and that.
That was before.
Now, their eyes held confusion, suspicion, and even a hint of amusement. Jack had gone crazy. That's all there was to it. There wasn't a simpler reason why they didn't look at him the same. They had all witnessed it. They didn't know what to make of it. Their once clever captain had lost his mind. And now, here they were, in Davy Jones' locker all because they wanted to save something they thought was worth saving. Here they were, supposedly doomed after the fires of the sun were doused by the night sky. Waiting was possibly the best thing they could do in their seemingly hopeless predicament – being between the devil and the deep blue sea.
Up is down, thought Jack. His mind worked through the perplex riddle. His other selves voicing out his thoughts, arguing which was wrong, and which was right. He came to a conclusion and set the plan to action.
"Whoa, what is that?"
He led the crew side to side of the ship, pointing out something that wasn't there, confusing them, making them run back and forth like the pendulum of a clock. His plan was working, but why were they making it possible? They did think he was crazy, so why were they following the plan they didn't even know of? Pity? Entertainment? Curiosity, maybe? Or maybe they were just doing this for him. Not out of pity, but because they still believed he was trying to accomplish something for all of them, because they thought something good would come out of this mess he was pulling. Maybe.
No complaints were heard, nothing was said, and if protests were voiced, they would've only fallen on deaf ears. They followed his lead without doubt and hesitation. He was Jack Sparrow. Even in a delirious state, he could still be clever, right?
Suddenly, the ship was tipped, and everyone looked to him for guidance. He held on tightly as the Black Pearl was turned completely underseas. We are now the right side up, he thought.
And for a second, they were sailing the sky.
Okay, so read and review, please.
