Summary: A fluffy moment between Lily and James on Christmas day.

"What did you wake me up so early for?" Lily asked James sleepily, stretching herself on the couch in the common room and stifling a yawn.
"I wanted to spend a few moments alone with you," James whispered huskily into her ear, his breath tingling her.
Lily's eyes snapped wide open and now wide awake, she looked at James with a confused expression on her face.
James leaned forward and captured her lips in a passionate kiss, sending shivers down her spine. For a moment, Lily felt as if she was Stunned, but she managed to recover and kissed him back.
A few minutes later, they pulled away. Lily didn't understand. What was the need to wake her up so early? As much as she wanted to be here, she felt that sleep was the more appealing choice currently.
"I wanted us to spend a special moment on our first Christmas together after our marriage." James explained. "The moment the clock strikes six, Padfoot and Wormtail are going to appear."
Lily giggled, imagining Sirius and Peter bursting into the house and shouting 'Merry Christmas' until they woke up.
James' voice made Lily snap out of her thoughts.
"I bought this for you, Lily," James said, handing her a present.
Lily took it from him cautiously, hoping that it wouldn't explode like his last Christmas present to her.
"It's safe," James added, grinning at the expression on Lily's face.
Lily tore away the wrapping paper. Inside was a box emblazoned with her initials. She looked at James. He gave a jerk of the head, as if to say, "Go on."
Slowly, Lily opened the box and peered inside. She gasped. Lying inside the box was a necklace with a pendant that had three emeralds. She looked at James again.
Wordlessly, James took the necklace from her and clasped it around her neck. Tears glistening in her eyes, she whispered, "Thank you." James pulled her into a hug.
Suddenly, Lily pulled away and stood up. James looked up at her, surprised. "Your present is upstairs," she said excitedly, tying a blindfold around a shocked James' eyes. She led him up the stairs, into the study.
Slowly, she took off the blindfold. James opened his eyes, looking confusedly at Lily. With a smile, Lily motioned towards something that was on the table.
James' gaze moved up the shiny new handle that had 'Nimbus 1000' sculpted at the corner.
A smile formed on his face and he broke into a grin, giving a whoop of delight. He lifted Lily up and started swinging her round and round. Suddenly-
"Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!" came two excited voices from downstairs. "Prongsie! Lily! Wake up!"
Laughing heartily, James and Lily proceeded down the stairs to welcome their guests.
