Cammie Parkerson was about as normal as you could get.
She was a junior at Roseville high, who did winter and spring track.
She had a younger sister going into high school next year, and an older brother going to Columbia in the fall.
Her mother was a Real Estate agent, and her father was in finance.
She had lots of friends, but was not especially popular.
She had good grades, but nothing extraordinary.
She lived in a nice house with a big yard, and grew up in Roseville all her life.
Cammie had one boyfriend, Josh Abrahams, but they broke up last fall.
She was pretty, but not in-your-face-pretty, more like the casual pretty.
Although she had many friends, she wasn't very outgoing, she was rather quiet.
People always sought her out, because she was very kind, and always put everyone in a good mood around her.
Why not?
Why should she not be happy with her life?
It wasn't much, but she was happy with her small town life, her family, her friends.
It was all she ever knew.
And it kept her happy.
And it kept her parents happy, her real parents, to know that their daughter was safe.
It broke their hearts to send her away, but they did it to protect her.
They kept her safe.
They kept her happy.
And that was enough for them.
Until one day, when fate caught up with her.
