"Ares just stop it! You don't control me anymore it's over!" Aphrodite was screaming through her many tears. They had been yelling furiously at each other for the past ten minutes. Neither of them listening to what the other was actually saying, it was like a blind shoot-out. Nasty words were said, but who knows if they actually heard, bottom line was, Aphrodite had taken her first step to recovery. Or was it her first step towards destruction?

Ares glared at her with his beat red face and teary eyes and then stormed away. Ares was her, well now ex-boyfriend. They had been together for the past seven months, most of the school year. This was the first time Aphrodite had actually stood up to Ares throughout their whole relationship. Aphrodite and Ares had the typical sweet innocent girl, and tough macho guy relationship. Ares would kill any guy that looked at Aphrodite the wrong way. But Aphrodite loved that he cared so much, so she never stopped him from getting protective. It gave her that sort of warm feeling that he cared for her so much. But was it actually true caring that lead him to be so possessive? Or was she just a trophy to him? Was she just his property?

Ares was the controlling type and didn't like to take no for an answer. He's always had aggression issues but Aphrodite always looked past it, she always saw him for the sweet guy underneath. The times they spent together were always wonderful. The fights though, terrible. They didn't happen often but when they did, it was very, very bad. As time went on though, the fights got more frequent, more intense. Aphrodite was scared that Ares might actually lose it one time and raise a hand to her. Aphrodite thought it was normal for them to fight. That it was normal to have quarrels with the one she thought she loved. She figured they would get past them. But one day, that sweet guy with a temper turned into something different, something horrid. And that's where Aphrodite found herself questioning their relationship and wondering if he was the right one for her. Or was it something, rather someone, else that was adding to the troubles going on in her heart and her mind?
