Rock Lee woke up screaming. His body was covered in sweat as he just woke up from the worst nightmare in his life. In this horrible dream, everybody Lee cared about… Lee could not think about it anymore. He lied back down in his bed to get more sleep, as it was only midnight, but Lee absolutely could not, the gruesome images in his head were still fresh. Lee decided he would take a midnight stroll to clear his mind. He got out of bed and threw on his jumpsuit, jacket, shoes, and forehead protector, which he wore around his waist. He did not bother about his legwarmers or the bandages he always wears on his arms.
As quietly as he could without waking his parents, who Lee was surprised to find out slept through his screams, tip-toed down the stairs, and slid out the door, making sure it closed all the way. Once he heard the ever so quiet click, he smiled and made his way down the streets of Konohagakure. Lee had noticed the moon was at his brightest that night and his smile grew wider.
After about fifteen minutes of walking, he heard soft sobs coming from behind some bushes. Walking to said bushes, Lee pushed some branches aside and saw before him his one true love, Haruno Sakura, crying. Lee frowned slightly and sat down, going behind the bushes where the pink haired kunoichi was.
"Sakura-chan," he whispered, "why are you crying?" Lee asked and before he knew it, he was pulled into a hug. He blushed as red as the outfit Sakura wore.
"M-my parents w-were fighting and my f-father hit my mother and told her to..." Sakura stopped there. Lee realized she did not want to say anymore, and he was fine with that.
He wrapped his arms around her and whispered into her ear, "Sakura-chan, would you like to stay at my house overnight? I know my parents will not mind," he hugged her tighter.
"Yes, thank you, Lee," she smiled and gasped as she was picked up bridal style.
"You are very welcome, Sakura," his smile reappeared and he brought her to his house. Who would of known that the best night of the green-clad ninja's life would start off with a nightmare?
