Water Over Wine.

Hi Everyone! In case you haven't read author notes yet, allow me to fill you in. I'm kinda issuing a contest, which is really stupid on account I'm a pretty new writer, especially here at ff.net, and I probably don't have the talent or skill yet to be doing such a thing. Oh well, can't blame me for trying! Over the next few days, I'm going to be writing a few different teasers, I don't know how many. You choose the pairing, and in the case of this story you pick who is 'reflecting' within this chapter. The amount of reviews I get will determine which ones, if any, I continue. School will be over for me soon, end of June, and then I'll be able to continue them depending on which one gets the most reviews! Oh, and I don't own anything!

Falling...

..Falling...

..Falling...

The sea, the sky, the Earth. All of them together to form a single entity. And yet, never able to touch. Forever isolated.

Falling, forever falling. From the sky, past the Earth, and into the sea.

Those three entities, each one is part of one larger being. But, they are always alone. Each one is so different from the other that while working together to form a single existence, they must forever remain invisible to the others.

Alone in unity.

Falling...

..Falling...

It's so sad; so ironic that these forces must be alone while they are close. Alas, a cruel fate it is when creatures must be isolated even when they are together. For the protection of those around them, and for themselves.

Falling...

What's the point? Isolated, alone... A life as such is simply not worth it.

Not worth any of it...

Screams, anger, rage, terror. It has remained the same throughout the ages. Time and time again. Mountains erupt out of the Earth, they crumble into the sea, which sinks soundlessly into the Earth; the world changes but they do not.

Emotions can move the heavens, and one fears what one does not understand.

Falling...

..Falling...

..Falling...

So close. A few more seconds and the crystal surface will shatter. The pain would stop; the rage reflected in the eyes of men as fire. It would all just cease; as the mountains do when they fall, and as the wind does when it is eaten by fire.

But then, it still wouldn't stop. As the sea which sinks into the Earth which erupts into the sky as mountains which shatter and return to the sea, one would still be isolated as the elements are from each other.

Isolated. There is no escape, not even into the sea.

Alas.

Falling...

..Falling...

..Falling...

The momentary pain that was all to familiar sufficed from my back as the wings exploded forth. Skin hardened, teeth sharpened, and veins burned as the summoned changes shaped and molded my true body which was as old as the ages.

Falling...

..Falling...

..Flying...
