"Alright Victoire, you know ze rules?" Maman asks, gathering up her and Dad's luggage.

"Yes Maman." I roll my eyes, considering that these rules have been the same since I was thirteen.

"Okay. Bill? Are you ready yet?" She screamed.

Dad hurries down, levitating all of the excess luggage that Maman had apparently asked him to pack. "Alright if we Apparate right now we should reach the portkey in about twenty minutes, which should make us an hour early."

"Only an hour! We won't get to spend enough time together then!" She stresses.

"Maman," I interject, trying to hurry them out of here, "It'll be fine. You and your family can meet up at the wedding, and the next few days, you can find some time for yourselves. But, you might not even have an hour if you don't leave."

Maman sighs, levitating all of her luggage, "Fine. Dominique and Louis are down at ze beach. I think Molly and Lucy are coming to meet them soon. You are in charge. Do not blow ze house up."

"Or accidentally lose your siblings." Dad adds on.

"That was one time three years ago! I am perfectly capable of taking care of Dom and Lou!"

"Okay. Tell your brother and sister we said goodbye. We already told them in the morning, but tell them again." Maman says, walking out the door, Dad following behind.

"Alright. Bye! Love you!" I wait until I see them Apparate, then immediately send a Patronus to Teddy and another to Roxy, telling them to get down here right now. After that, I go to my room to change out of my pajamas. I put on my white bikini with some jean shorts, a teal boat neck top with a cut-out in the back, some white flip-flops, and some retro square shades. I head down to the beach, where Lou and Dom are building a sand castle. The beach is kind of crowded, but I can spot them. Louis is wearing vivid blue shorts, which I have to applaud him on, because it matches his eyes perfectly. Dom is wearing a black one piece, which makes me laugh because she is not the person to wear a one piece. Not that she's a…scarlet-woman or anything, it's just that she isn't a very conservative person. But anyway, she is wearing white high-waisted shorts, a sheer, bold-red, cropped button down (which surprisingly didn't clash with her red hair), red sneakers, and she had aviators pushed up so they acted as a headband for her long, wild, bright red hair.

I walk up to them, and now I see that there is a large cutout in Dom's swimsuit that makes her whole right side visible (but it didn't show anything).

"Hey. Maman and Dad said goodbye."

"Wait. They left already?" Louis asks.

"They already told us goodbye, Lou." Dom says, not tearing her eyes away from the sandcastle. She is always very independent.

"Right. Well, you two get back to what you're do…Louis?" He abruptly stood up while I was talking and started brushing the sand off of him. I follow his gaze and notice a girl about his age, walking along the shore, picking up shells and putting them in her bag. I recognize her. She is part of a family of wizards who live in a house near ours. I look at Dom, who smirks. That explains why he loves to go to the beach so much these days.

"Lou…Louis…go to her." I say, trying to fight the urge to laugh. He looks at me wildly and shakes his head.

"No. No way. I can not talk to her. I tried to once and it did not go over well."

At this Dom snorts, "That is an understatement. He said hi, told her a joke, and she laughed. Then he got cocky. He tried picking a shell up for her, when he fell forward. He ended up tripping her and making her fall over. But, the thing that topped it all off was that he landed on her bag of shells, breaking every single one. So, that resulted in her grabbing her bag, kicking him in the stomach, and running away crying. It was actually rather terrifying."

I look at him in horror, and he nods his head.

"Oh Lou. You are hopeless."

"Thanks. Really needed that." He says sarcastically.

"Welcome." Suddenly, I have an idea. Placing my arm around his shoulders "What if I help you?"

"What are you talking about?" He asks suspiciously.

"Me and Dom will go talk to her for you." I say, taking off my sunglasses and hanging them on the neck of my shirt.

Dom jumps up from her spot on the sand and puts her hands on her hips. "Why? Why do you mean 'we'?"

I loop my arm through hers and explain, "Because, dear Dom, we are polar opposites. So if we both go, we know what personality she has. Once we find that out, then the person she gets along with the best will talk to her about Lou."

Louis still looks like he has doubts, but apparently he decides that it's the best plan on the table, because he says, "And what do I do?"

"You just stand there and look pretty." I tell him as I ruffle his blonde hair. He fixes it and gives me a dirty look.

"Okay, there she is. It's lucky that today you finally decided to care about your appearance."

"What—" He starts with a questioning look, but I quickly interrupt.

"Your swim shorts. They're cute and they match your eyes."

"Oh, well…It doesn't matter because I'm part Veela. So, I'm kind of a babe magnet." He jokes.

"We all are." I say matter-of-factly.

"Yeah, but I have more of it than you do."

He's not wrong. The portions of Veela we all have inside of us are surprisingly not even. Louis has the most, which makes it good that he doesn't mind girls flirting with him. Somehow, girls find him even more attractive than ever when he is actually around them, he is awkward and clumsy and stutters uncontrollably. Dom has a lot, but not as much as Louis. It still makes all the guys want to date her. Which helps, because Dom is the biggest flirt I know or ever will know. That's why she has never not had a date for Hogsmeade. Ever. She even had dates in third year. And last year, she, a fifth year, dated a seventh year Gryffindor for three weeks. And I, gladly, have the least. I'm not disappointed. That disappointed. All of a sudden, I am interrupted by Dom's voice.

"She's walking away." Dom says, watching her leave.

"What? Okay, let's go." I say, grabbing her hand and Apparating.

We land a few feet behind her. I Accio a flying disk from the house and turn to Dominique.

"Okay. So Dom, I will throw this frisbee and you catch it. After you catch it, you engage in conversation with her. Then, I will come up and greet her. Then we talk. And next thing you know, Lou and her are dating, then they get a flat, get married, have three kids, a girl and two boys, the boys will be twins. Then—"

"Whoa. We need for her to actually talk to him first." She interjects, laughing.

"Right. Well, I'll just throw it now." I say.

I throw it, so that it will land a few feet in front of her. Dom runs to catch it, accidentally bumping her shoulder lightly.

"Sorry! I was just playing catch with my sister."

She smiles, "Oh, fun."

"Yeah, it was. So, your name?"

"Joanne. But, my friends call me Jo." She says, holding out her hand.

"We're friends?" Dom asks. This just might be my cue to go over there. But I have faith in Dom.

"Well, I don't know, considering we just met, but I might like to be." Joanne says, hand returning back to her side.

"Right. Well, what do you like to do?" Dom asks, putting her shades over her eyes.

"Well, I like to collect seashells, reading, I really love to play music…"

"Oh my God shut up!" She exclaims.

"Excuse me?" Joanne asks, sounding a little offended. Okay, I'm going over there. I do not need her storming off and hating Dom.

"I just meant that my brother likes to play music. He plays guitar and piano." She says.

"Oh. Where's your brother?" She asks as I make my way over to her.

"He's right over there." I say, pointing over to him. She jumps a little at the sound of my voice, but smiles at me nonetheless.

"Hi. I'm Joanne. Friends call me Jo." She asks, obviously trying to decide whether or not to extend her hand out or not.

I hold out my own, "Hello Jo. I'm Victoire. Friends call me Vic. So I assume you know my sister?" I ask, motioning over to Dom.

"Um, we talked, but I don't know her name." She confesses, looking over to Dom.

"Dominique." She says shortly, pushing her hair behind her shoulder.

"She goes by Dom." I say for her.

"Cool." She says, "So, where is this brother you mentioned?"

"Oh, right. He's over there." Dom points over to Louis, who is currently laying down on the beach tanning. I bet that he is doing this just for her. He is unbelievable sometimes.

Her face suddenly loses all expression as she looks at him with distaste, "He's your brother?"

"Yeah. Why are you surprised?" Dom asks, crossing her arms and raising her eyebrow. Uh oh. This is a bad sign. When that happens, you run for cover. But, sadly she didn't seem to pick up the danger sign that is currently flashing in Dom's eyes.

"It's just…you two are decent." At this, Dom snapped.

"Okay listen…" She says, reaching for her back pocket where I knew her wand was kept. Before she can touch it, I reach into her pocket and pull it away from her.

"I really think you should meet him before you you make assumptions." I say, cutting Dom off.

"I've already met him." She says bitterly, moving the bag of seashells away from his direction.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to meet him again." Before she can object, I grab her hand and drag her over to him. Dom takes her bag so that Lou doesn't have a chance to break her stuff again. Upon seeing shadows near him, Louis turns to see me, Dom, and Jo. He suddenly gets up and runs his fingers through his hair.

"Oh…hey. How's it…going…I didn't think…I'd see you…again. Hi." He finishes, ears turning red.

"Hello." She says back, trying her best to smile.

"So, are you still collecting seashells…because I don't see your…bag. I… I mean…seashells are cool…I was just wondering…I'm sorry, this is a waste. I know you hate me, so I'll just leave you girls alone." He turns to leave, but Jo sighs and grabs his arm.

"No, wait. Let's start over."

"Really?" He asks, mouth open.

She laughs a little, "Yeah. I mean, it really wasn't your fault. I'm the one who fell on them."

"Oh, no. It was me who pushed you over. On accident." He defends her, grabbing her shoulders. He absolutely refuses to allow her to take the blame. It's actually kind of cute.

"Are you seriously trying to convince me that this was all your fault?" She asks, raising an eyebrow. He starts stuttering again, making her laugh.

"I'm just kidding. C'mon, let's go swim." She takes her cover-up off, grabs his hand, and heads towards the beach.

"Just wait a second. I have to go tell my sisters something." Louis tells her, walking over to us.

"I so owe you." He says, gazing over at Joanne.

"Yes, you do. Big time. Now, go over there and have fun." Dom says, "But not too much fun! Do you know what Mum would do if she became a grandmum at thirty-six?"

I elbow her in the ribs, "Dom! Really?"

She laughs, "Hey! Just warning the poor boy of Mum's crazy rage."

"I'm going to go." Louis says, walking away. He puts his arm around her waist and kisses her cheek. I roll my eyes at him, wondering how he became so smooth so suddenly.

"So Dom, should we head back to the hou…Dom?" I look around to see where she has gone off to, when I find a tall boy with brown hair flirting with Dom, and Dom is obviously trying to find an escape route. Of course. I walk over to her, preparing to help her get away. I walk up, and almost die of laughter. I mean, I've heard about how guys try to impress Veelas by making up stories, but Dom is not even half Veela. This is ridiculous.

"So, anyways, I'm going to be headmaster of Hogwarts. They even say I might be the next Dumbledore." The boy says, moving closer to her.

"HEY! Honey, are you cheating on me? I can't believe this! After all that we've been through, I just moved in with you! And here you are, flirting with this…scarlet woman! On our favorite beach? The spot of our first kiss? The spot where you proposed? The spot where we went on our first date? This beach held all of our firsts, and here we share the worst first of all…the first time you cheat on me! I can't believe it, I just can't believe it. My parents were right about you. And a week before our wedding—"

"Wait you're married?" Dom asked in fake disgust. It was totally believable. We even prepared this speech, so that either one of us can recite both parts.

"No I—" The boy stutters.

"You can forget about it. Because we are OVER!" I slap him, and walk away, fake crying.

"Okay. Headmaster or not, I'm not going out with you now." At this, Dom slaps him, "Pig." And with that, she storms away, leaving a very confused boy behind.
