He couldn't focus today of all days, and it confused him.
Fakir's eyes kept moving towards the new girl that was on the bus; she was talking to Rue.
The only reason that he knew who Rue was was, because her father owned Mythos's deceased father's enemy company.
Rue was also determined to marry Mythos as most girls were.
Fakir being the slightly older adoptive brother of Mythos wasn't nearly as popular though some girls seemed to think that he was a bad boy, and wanted to go out with him.
Fakir had always been more concerned with his adopted brother's well being to the point of obsession.
His eyes flickered back towards the newest edition on the bus route.
She was animatedly talking to a disinterested looking Rue.
Fakir then noticed that his brother was watching her too.
"Why are you watching her?" Fakir asked him.
"She seems nice." Mythos answered.
Fakir decided that he had to watch her; he didn't want her to break Mythos's heart.
She seemed to enjoy talking to Rue despite the fact that Rue probably didn't even like her.
When Lilie and Pike came on and sat across from them, the new student started talking to those two.
She was definitely not going to be popular, once they got to school.
Rue seemed relieved to finally not be talking to her.
Fakir was careful to notice that she did not step so much as with in an inch of his brother in the classes that she happened to be in with the two boys.
He had found out that her name was Ahiru.
Fakir watched her again as she socialised with everyone with in range, and how the most popular students seemed to hate her.
She seemed like the friendly type which he made sure to watch out for those types of people; he refused to let his brother be hurt ever again.
He could still remember how broken Mythos was when his parents had died, and then Mythos refused to feel any emotion after that point in time which meant that Fakir had to look out for him.
He was frustrated to know that she had joined the after school ballet class that he and Mythos shared; Rue was also in this class much to his annoyance.
Fakir found that that was a poor choice on Ahiru's part; she wasn't a very good ballerina.
He was relieved that she was too focused on not messing up, or Lilie and Pike's chatter to notice him or his brother.
This seemed to continue all week, or maybe she wasn't all that bright; she didn't seem to notice them.
The plus side of this was that she didn't try to talk to them which meant that she couldn't break Mythos's heart.
