September was mostly a busy but tranquil month, in the United States, children came back to school. In Mexico people began to prepare for the Independence Day.

But now in this 2012 something strange happened in September. It had been eleven years since the terrorist attack to New York so it was well known that the flag of the United States was at half-staff during that day. It was less known that the Mexican flag will be at half-staff on September 13, day of the Boys Heroes day. A date that still caused bitterness in Mexico, since was one of the dates that marked her loss against the United States that lead her to lost more than half of her territory.

But that day, that 13th of September of 2012 to the surprise of many and in the places where the Mexican and American flag flew together, both flag were at half-staff. Causing a bit of surprise to the other countries, that were present at the typical monthly summit. Especially considering the bickering nature of both countries, both of them were quiet.

"America" called England "Are you putting attention?"

Alfred responded sharply "Yes, England, you are talking about reduce the CO2 and to work together to lift the economy and don't let the European suffer, also you talked about the preservation program of the Pandas…"

England was very surprised, where was the classical American that would yell about heroes and robots?. He cleared his throat.

"Now regarding the Monarch butterfly conservation programs, how are you doing, Canada, Mexico?"

Canada began to speak "Well, some of the butterflies had already began to move, I was reported by Alfred that he spotted some around Texas…"

England decided to bypass Alfred since he was in a dark mood.

"Mexico?" he said hoping for the every boisterous nation to say something, but to the whole world surprise she only responded mechanically.

"Program is working, the zone is protected, and it has been a growth since 2010"

Even the stoic Japan was surprised, there were very few countries who actually answered the question that mechanically and lifeless.

"I think the meeting is over, we'll be reuniting next month in…."

Suddenly Mexico stands up and to everyone surprise she moved directly to Alfred. Some were thinking she would hit him, or slap him, since it had been their 'tradition' for some decades, but she had stopped in 2001 for obvious reasons. Mexico wasn't that heartless.

Watching intently and hearing Russia's 'kol kol's' in the background the tanned girl actually gave Alfred a big long and tight hug. Then she whispered something in his ear and a tear rolled over the blonde's cheek.

After she finished packing her papers and began to leave the room she turned around with a completely changed mood.

"AND YOU BETTER BRING ME PRESENTS ON SUNDAY!" she yelled to everyone's confusion "I 'M TROWING THE BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY OF THE YEAR AND YOU BETTER COME!" compression began to fill everyone's mind "SPECIALLY YOU SPAIN, YOU BETTER GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD!" she continued with a smile.

Meanwhile Spain was in a corner with a dark aura.

Ok, this was very random but I live in the border so to me it was very strange to see both flags at the same height. So yeah. (I'm also procrastinating my math homework)

13 September: Anniversary of the death of the Boys Heroes in the battle of Chapultepec in Mexico.
