Her amber eyes glowed as she stood on the edge of the cliff, many people stood behind her, wondering if she would actually do it. They knew Shay was daring but this seemed to be extreme. The blonde was risking death or serious injury.
Shay did not care, she was numb now. After that night numb was all she would ever be. Danny hates her, thinks she is a slut, and went with another girl. He hates her. Why? Why did the love of her life have to hate her? Shay's green eyes filled with tears and for once in her life, she wasn't afraid to die. She took a deep breath and took another step toward the edge. Squeezing her eyes shut, more tears fell, yet nobody could tell she was crying from where they were.
Suddenly footsteps were heard behind her and she stopped in her tracks. His voice sounded smooth just like she remembered it as he said, "Shay…" Her eyes flew open and she hissed, "What are you doing here?" Danny took a step towards her and spoke, "I know you won't do it." Her eyes narrowed and she hissed, "You don't know me anymore Danny! You barely ever did!" Danny shook his head and sighed. "I know you hate me Shay. Though please don't do this." Tears ran faster down her cheeks as she lets out a sob before taking another step. I can't turn back, Shay thought; I can't let him get to me.
He knew he was too late. He knew after all he put her through she wouldn't believe him. He destroyed her and he felt horrible for it. He still loved her, yet has not told her. Shay was his world but his world was crumbling down and he was losing everything.
Shay let out a sob and said, "You committed Love suicide Danny. You killed your own love for me. You wanted our love to die, you did it on purpose. I committed love suicide too, killed my heart loving you." Danny's eyes filled with tears and he yelled, "I have never stopped loving you! I still do!" Shay could no longer cry; she had run out of tears. "You made me feel worthless, why did you hurt us? Did it make you happy to see me down?" He whispered in reply, "No." She replied quickly, "You did it on purpose. I'm all out of tears, Danny. It's time to get out of here." His eyes widened and he yelled, "NO!" Though it was too late, Shay had jumped towards the dark sea.
That day Shay went into the dark water but didn't come back up. Shay Embers died that day and her body was washed up to the shore. She looked peaceful though, like she was finally free. Free of pain and hurt. Her funeral took place at the local church where it was packed with friends. Danny sat in the very front with Shay's parents, his eyes glued to the coffin where the body of the love of his life lied. He lost her. He committed Love Suicide.
