Prologue
A large battle scarred tom weaved through the dead ferns. A silver and white tabby she cat followed close behind.
"What are we training for today Hawkfrost?" she asked. The tom looked at her.
"I want you to lunge at me and try to sweep my paws from under me. Let me demonstrate." he replied. He lunged and caught her back legs, scooping them out from under her body. "Repeat that move." he mewed. The she cat copied his move with success.
"Like that?" she asked.
"That was perfect Ivypaw. That will make you a valuable warrior to your clan." Hawkfrost purred. Ivypaw scuffled the ground with her paws.
"Thank you Hawkfrost. Would it be ok to teach that move to my apprentice when I become a warrior?" she asked. Hawkfrost nodded his head.
"Don't forget Ivypaw, That move will be useful when the time comes." he growled. He turned and lead her deeper into the forest.
