A.N. This is my first That 70's Show fic. I really love Jackie and Hyde together. This is one of my most favorite episodes, the one where Hyde sees Jackie in a wedding dress. What was he thinking when he saw her? Hummm...
disclaimer: I don't own, cuz if I did, Hyde would've made it to her hotel room before Kelso. And they would've gotten married.
Lovey-Dovey
"What the hell? I cannot believe what I'm seeing," Donna exclaimed once they got to the right department.
Yeah, well Hyde couldn't either.
Usually, Hyde didn't go all 'lovey-dovey', but seeing Jackie in that wedding dress, was, well, in the only words that Hyde could come up with, was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. But he definitely wasn't going to tell any one that.
"I know. Look, shoulders," Eric crowed, completely oblivious to Donna's tone. But then again, after Steven saw Jackie, he kinda became oblivious to anything...except her.
Shit. Lovey-dovey was a big no no for Hyde. So why couldn't he snap out of it?
"Eric, this was supposed to be our time," Donna said and stormed off. Steven was barely aware of her. Shit shit shit...
"Donna, wait!" Eric runs after her but his jacket is attached to the wall, so he takes it off and runs. Now it's just Steven and the angel.
Ahem, he means Jackie.
"Okay, Steven, I know I promised I wouldn't do any wedding stuff, and I know you're probably really mad, so just go ahead and yell."
And he was planning to. He had planned to come here and yell, and cause a scene, and, and, well that was as far as he got. But that was also before he saw her in a wedding dress.
"You're beautiful," was what came out instead. And when he saw her eyes light up, well that did it for him. He could now die with that vision to be imbedded into his memory. Forever. Whether he wanted it or not. But he most certainly wanted it.
"Oh, my God. You like me in a wedding dress, which means that someday, we're gonna get married, which means that I can talk about it! Oh, Steven! Okay, I want a spring wedding, outside with white doves." Well, it was a perfect moment till she opened her mouth. Oh, well. Only one way to deal with this now.
He picks her up and puts her in the changing room. "And I want the sun to be setting behind me so I have a halo, kind of like an angel." He does too. "Oh, and then wild mustangs can take us to our honeymoon in Hawaii! Oh, but your family can't come." He shuts the door. "Oh, you know what? You can run, but you can't hide. I know where you live!"
As Hyde left the mall that day, he thought about how maybe marrying Jackie wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.
